Today’s card was created for both the AWH Heart of Christmas blog hop and the 30 Days of Christmas Card Making Challenge Day Four, a colour challenge that includes using a bright blue, a bright yellow and a bright red.
I’ve used the following Stampin’ Up! colours for todays’ challenge: Real Red, Azure Afternoon and Daffodil Delight.
These are not colours I would usually use together on a Christmas card so it was a bit of a challenge coming up with a design for this colour challenge. Luckily, the Hang an Ornament bundle works with any colours.
The silver bows are from the Wanted to Say Dies and the embellishments are Rhinestone Basic Jewels. All three ornaments are white heat embossed.
The blue and yellow DSP are both from the Brights 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. The Real Red DSP is from the Take a Bow DSP.
Now it’s time to hop in over to our next participant, the lovely Kate Morgan. I can’t wait to see the project Kate has created this week!
If the next button link is not working or you’d like to see the entire list of participants go to Sharon Davern‘s blog. Sharon does an amazing job of hosting our Heart of Christmas blog every Monday.
I’ll be back tomorrow with another “30 Days of Christmas” Christmas card, on Wednesday night with the Art with Heart Colour Creations team showcasing Granny Apple Green and with some more Heart of Christmas inspiration next Monday night.
I hope you can join us then!
This is such a cool card for Christmas, Cathy. The primary colours look amazing and that layout with the DSP panels and the coordinating baubles on top are brilliant, especially with the white heat embossing. Love it!
I love the bright colours you’ve used for Christmas.
Such a gorgeous card Cathy! I love the colours you have chosen. The baubles look fantastic with the white embossing on them. Such a bright happy festive card! Love it!
I love your bright and happy Christmas card Cathy. The blocks of colour with the white embossed baubles are really striking. Stretching oneself out of the comfort zone can be difficult but you have a winner. A gorgeous card. xxx
The white-embossed details look great on the bright, primary-coloured, baubles, Cath. Whilst they’re unusual colours to use for Christmas, they’re beautifully bright and festive – and your card is really lovely.
