AWH Colour Creations Easter Bunny Stamp Baby Cards

AWH Colour Creations Easter Bunny Stamp Baby Cards

Welcome to week forty-seven of our Art With Heart 2023-24 Colour Creations blog hop!

Our colour this week is Soft Sea Foam, a very soft green from the subtles family.

I had so much fun playing with the Easter Bunny Stamp set last week I’ve used again to make some baby cards I was asked to make for a baby girl called Charlotte and a baby boy called Morgan.

For Morgan’s card the bunny was coloured in using Crumb Cake light and dark Stampin’ Blends with light Petal Pink for his ears, nose and tummy.

I created a nesting barrel for the rabbit by using the largest of the stretched hexagon shape Nested Essentials Dies. The timber Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper was embossed using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder before die cutting with the Nested Essentials Dies.

Cut the die piece in half – you will now have two trapezoids. Then run through the Bigshot with the die on a side angle to create the barrel shape with a stitched edge that is the correct height fopr the bunny. Just be sure to only die cut the top edge of the barrel – don’t run the entire die through the Bigshot.

The grass on Morgan’s card was coloured using Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends.

His name was die cut from Basic White card stock using the online exclusive Mini Alphabet Dies, also coloured using Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends.

Charlotte’s card is a horizontal card (to fit the letters of her name on the card front) and it uses a mix of Bubble Bath and Soft Sea Foam.

I’ve added a few of the smallest Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the centre of the flowers for some added sparkle.

Both cards feature a twine bow as well as DSP layers with the Subtles 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) Designer Series Paper. This DSP, along with the retiring Easter Bunny Stamp Set and Easter Bunny punch, are all retiring soon.

I’ve added leftover strips of the DSP to the back of the envelope flaps.

And both cards have been stamped on the inside with two of the sentiments from the Charming Sentiments stamp set.

Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Kate Morgan. I can’t wait to see what Kate has made this week!

AWH Colour Creations Easter Bunny Smoky Slate Card

AWH Colour Creations Easter Bunny Smoky Slate Card

Welcome to week forty-six of our Art With Heart 2023-24 Colour Creations blog hop! Only four more weeks to go until we start a brand new year of blog hopping with 5 new InColors and and brand new neutral to add to our range as well!

Our colour this week is Smoky Slate, a soft grey neutral. As it is Easter this weekend and the Easter Bunny Stamp set and matching Easter Bunny punch are both retiring soon I’ve made an Easter card.

I’ve used Stampin Blends in Smoky Slate and Petal Pink to colour my adorable bunny. The colour lifter allows for even more variation in shading of Smoky Slate.

I’m so glad the Petal Park Builder stamp set and matching punch are not retiring!

I’ve stamped the flower and petals in Tuxedo Black before colouring with Stampin Blends in Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green and Petal Pink (for the inside of the flowers).

I love this largest “Around the bend” die – it creates a lovely point of interest on a card front!

I don’t usually send Easter cards so I’ll probably pop another sentiment over the “Happy Easter” sentiment before I send this card.

Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Tina Gillespie. I can’t wait to see what Tina has made this week!

Stampin’ Up! Pumpkin Pie Easter Bunny Bundle and Thanks A Bunch Card

Stampin’ Up! Pumpkin Pie Easter Bunny Bundle and Thanks A Bunch Card

Welcome to week forty one of our Art With Heart 2022-23 Colour Creations blog hop.

This is a weekly blog hop where we showcase the stunning range of Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order over 12 months and this week we are featuring Pumpkin Pie from the Regals family.

SALE-a-bration ends next Wednesday night so I decided to showcase the adorable SALE-a-bration Thanks a Bunch stamp set once again, this time combining it with the Easter Bunny stamp set.

My card was inspired by a gorgeous card made by a very talented German demonstrator called Mandy Pätzold, who combined these two stamp sets and popped her rabbit in a teacup – I’ve placed my rabbit in the wooden basket from the Cheerful Basket Stamp Set instead.

There are only three colours on this card: Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Crumb Cake. For all these colours I’ve used them at full strength as well as stamped off once for a lighter tone and I’ve used both the dark and the light Stampin’ Up! blends.

The larger carrots and carrot leaves and fernery from the Thanks A Bunch stamp set are stamped and fussy cut with paper snips. The smaller carrots and the bunny rabbit are from the Easter Bunny stamp set and the basket from the Cheerful Basket Stamp Set are stamped in Memento and coloured with Stampin’ blends.

I’m not going to lie, there is a bit of fuss cutting in this card, however I find it very relaxing. Do you enjoy fussy cutting? My top tip for curves and angles is to turn the paper, rather than your paper snips.

I’ve roughed up the side edges of the top Basic White layer using my paper snips and added a simple Pumpkin Pie bow from the Three Twine Combo Pack.

The “Hey, there” sentiment comes from the Thanks A Bunch stamp set – this is a great all purpose sentiment that allows me to use the card for a variety of reasons, depending on what I decide to stamp inside.

Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Di Furniss – I can’t wait to see what Di has made this week!
