Welcome to week 7 of our 2021-22 Colour Creations blog hop! We are showcasing Bumblebee, a 2020-22 InColour.
Have you ever made a one sheet wonder? I’ve never made one before but as Stampin’ Up! has nine different packs of DSP on sale at the moment I thought it was a great opportunity to show just how far you can make your DSP go!
There are lots of different templates for one sheet wonders for both 12×12 and 6×6 papers – just take a look on Pinterest or Google “One Sheet Wonder Template”. This is the template I used to cut my 12×12 DSP.
Because we are showcasing Bumblebee this week I chose this design from the Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper. Isn’t it pretty? Its colour combination pairs Bumblebee with Night of Navy, Flirty Flamingo, Just Jade and Basic White.
So just how many card can you make from one sheet of DSP? Well, I made 14 and here they all are!
The beauty of a One Sheet Wonder is that you can do it with any DSP and use the embellishments, ribbons, die cuts and punches you already have on hand. I made up these designs for my cards as I went along using a variety of Stampin’ Up! products.
The main products used throughout are:
Pierced Blooms dies as their shapes perfectly match the pattern in this DSP
Sentiments from In Symmetry and Peaceful Moments stamp sets
Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon and White Bakers Twine
Bumblebee, Night of Navy, Flirty Flamingo, Just Jade and Basic White card stock
Greenery and Dotted Embossing folders
Stitched Rectangle dies
Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels
Symmetrical Stems Border Punch
Lets see how my cards turned out. I’ve listed them in numerical order as per the numbers on the pieces in cutting template – to see which piece of DSP to use for each card refer back to the numbers on the cutting template.
You might be wondering where the other number 14 piece went? I used it to decorate the inside of the front flap on Card 11 (the front panel attached to the left flap folds over the right side flap) but it could be used to make a 15th card too!
Using a One Sheet Wonder Template is a great way to get more cards from your DSP – why not grab a packet of DSP while it is on sale and build up your supply of handmade cards?
Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the very talented Caroline Manwaring. I can’t wait to see what she’s made this week!

I’m so excited to give you a sneak peek today of some new products that will be available to purchase from 3rd June: the Lovely You Bundle (Lovely You stamp set and Lovely Labels Pick a Punch), the Flowers for Every Season 6×6 DSP and five brand new 2020-22 In Colours.
Let’s take a closer look at these in colours. I must admit my early favourite is Misty Moonlight – it’s a softer version of Night of Navy and it looks stunning with Seaside Spray
Each of my five cards feature one of the new in colours, co-ordinated matching DSP and topped with a layered sentiment punched out using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch, which is in a bundle with the Lovely Labels stamp set.
This amazing new punch that lets you punch out 6 different styles of punch in three different widths. I used it on the Mother’s Day card I shared with you here to create a double layered mount.
Because this punch gives you the option of 2 different scalloped ends each in 3 different widths and unlimited lengths you can create perfect layered sentiments for so many of our different punches.
For card one I punched out the sentiment in Misty Moonlight at 1 inch wide and layered it onto white card stock punched out with the Timeless label punch (made longer by threading the card stock in one end at a time).
The next colour is Bumblebee, with the white card stock punched out at 1 inch wide and the top layer in Bumblebee punched out with the different end of the punch at 3/4 of an inch. Because it punches only one end of the card stock at a time I could make it long enough to fit this sentiment.
Isn’t Just Jude just gorgeous! For this tiny sentiment I used the narrowest width strip of card stock (1/2 inch) in Just Jade layered on top of the 3/4 inch width in Whisper White.
Magenta Madness is very bright but it teams so well with Melon Mambo and Blushing Bride. Here I’ve used the 3/4 inch and the 1 inch widths in the two different designs for the “just because” sentiment.
Cinnamon Cider is last but definitely not least and like the Magenta Madness card I’ve used the 3/4 inch and the 1 inch widths to punch and layer my sentiment.
The beautiful DSP I’ve used on all my cards is called Flowers For Every Season and it features all the new in colours. There are 24 different patterns in this 6×6 pack of DSP!
Tomorrow I will be featuring another stamp set that is retiring from the 2019 Annual Catalogue and the 2020 January to June Mini Catalogue, but in the meantime you can view all the retiring products in my online shop.
