Lost Lagoon Handcrafted Elements Dies Christmas Card

Lost Lagoon Handcrafted Elements Dies Christmas Card

Welcome to week thirty-one of our Art With Heart 2023-24 Colour Creations blog hop!

This week we are showcasing Lost Lagoon, a beautiful soft green that previously was an In Colour but has now joined the Subtles family as a core colour.

These is a stunning specialty paper in the Holiday Catalogue called the Snowflake Magic 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Specialty Designer Series Paper. It is retiring soon so I really wanted to make a Christmas card with it for this week’s blog.

These Handmade Elements dies are also retiring and work so well with the Snowflake Magic DSP.

The foliage pieces are Lost Lagoon cardstock with Lost Lagoon ink blended over it and then die cut with the Joy of Noel Dies. I’ve also added some silver foil foliage pieces behind the Lost Lagoon.

The Christmas ornament is die cut from silver foil using the Handcrafted Elements dies.

The sentiment is from the Merry & Bright stamp set, stamped in Lost Lagoon.

And the inside of the card has some silver foil too!

Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Andrea Sargent – I can’t wait to see what Andrea has made this week!

If at any time you find a broken link, you can find the complete list of all participants below.

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge 2023 – Day 8 Christmas Letters

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge 2023 – Day 8 Christmas Letters

The challenge for Day 8 of the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge is called ‘Christmas Letters’.

I’ve used the gorgeous letter box from the Stamped with Love Stamp Set, stamped in versmark onto Real Red card stock and heat embossed with gold emboss powder.

The Joy of Noel Dies were used to die cut Garden Green and Old Olive cardstock to create the greenery behind the letterbox.

Before I adhered the letterbox and the foliage to the front of the card, I used a Blending Brush to add some Pool Party ink to the card base.

I thought a very modern sentiment in a typewriter font would work well with all the white space on this card, so I’ve used the ‘so you get a card’ sentiment from the ‘Just My Type’ stamp set.

I’ll be back tonight with a Gray Granite card to share with you for our weekly Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop.

Stampin’ Up! Joy Of Noel Christmas Card

Stampin’ Up! Joy Of Noel Christmas Card

The Christmas countdown continues – it’s 18 weeks today until Christmas Day! Have you started making Christmas cards yet?

This week I was short of time so I’m following the example of my friend, Tina Gillespie, by creating a 20 minute card. It was this beautiful One Horse Open Sleigh 6″ x 6″ DSP that also inspired the fast and simple card – I just didn’t want to cover it up too much!

The Joy of Noel bundle will be available to purchase from September 3 – it was the large Noel sentiment with matching dies that tipped this bundle into my shopping cart!

I stamped the NOEL in Crumb Cake, die cut it out and used mini dimensionals to adhere the letters to the One Horse Open Sleigh 6″ x 6″ DSP.

Instead of adding an embellishment for a touch of sparkle, I used a die from the Joy of Noel dies to cut some fronds from the More Dazzle Specialty paper.

I kept the inside of the card simple too, with Crumb Cake stamped sentiments from the Joy of Noel stamp set.

Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Sharon Davern. I can’t wait to see what Sharon has made this week.

If at any time you find a broken link, you can find the complete list of all participants on Sharon’s blog.

If you live in Australia, you can find and purchase these products in my Stampin’ Up! Online Store.

I’ll be back on Wednesday with the AWH Colour Creations blog where we will be showcasing Cherry Cobbler.

Wherever you are in the world, stay safe, stay calm … and keep on crafting xxx
