Today I am participating in a new weekly blog along with some of the super talented ladies in the Art With Heart Team.
Every Wednesday morning we will be posting some Christmas card inspiration using products from the new 2017/2018 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue, as well as from the 2017 Holiday Catalogue (available in September).
“Crumb Cake Reindeer” Card
Okay, I’ll admit it.
I seem to be incapable at the moment of making a card without one of these elements:
- crumb cake,
- linen thread,
- burlap,
- stitched framelit dies, and
- the new facetted gems.
And now I have one more ‘must include’ to add to this list…the amazing new burlap background stamp.
I just love how it gives my card such texture without adding weight or thickness, which is very important with Christmas cards that will be sent out in the post.
My crumb cake reindeer card ended up looking very different to the card I thought I was going to make.
Originally I intended to put one of the divine little Boxwood wreaths around the reindeer’s neck but they were just too big. So instead I CASED the annual catty’s photo staging (see page 112) and put the wreath around the necks of some porcelain reindeer I found for a couple of dollars at my local op shop…I just adore these reindeer and you’ll being seeing a lot more of these elegant fellows in my upcoming Christmas card blogs.
The gorgeous sentiment is from a new set called Merry Mistletoe and I can see myself using this one a lot too.
This card would work with so many other colour combinations and it really is quick and easy to make, ideal for when you need to mass produce.

Listed below are all the supplies I used to make my card. If you click on one of the images, you will be taken to my online store, where you can buy the products for yourself.
