Welcome to week twenty-three of our 2020-2021 Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase.
Each week various members of our Art With Heart Colour Creations team will be bringing you weekly colour inspiration as we showcase our range of over 50 beautiful Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order.
Week 23 – Magenta Madness
This week I’ve drawn inspiration from one of Stampin Up!’s retired products: the Everything is Rosy product medley which featured a stunning colour combination of Night of Navy, Melon Mambo, Rose Gold and Whisper White.
Because Night of Navy and Melon Mambo looked so beautiful together in the Everything is Rosy product medley I thought I’d use a similar colour combination for my Magenta Madness card, using a selection of 2019-21 and 2020-22 In Colours.
Rococo Rose is a lot “muddier” than Magenta Madness but because I used my light Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blend I think I managed to get away with using these very different tones of pink together on my cards today.
All three cards feature the Bloom & Grow Stamp Set, the co-ordinating Budding Blooms dies and the 2020–2022 In colour 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper.
I needed to make some thank you cards for customers so for all three cards I used the lovely thank you sentiment from Bloom & Grow. The floral images and sentiments were stamped in Memento before colouring with Stampin’ Blends.
This first card doesn’t include Rococo Rose – the flowers are coloured using the light and dark Magenta Madness Stampin’ Blends.
My next card includes Rococo Rose and like the other two cards I’ve coloured Rhinestone Jewels with my dark Magenta Madness Stampin’ Blend to customise my embellishments.
The lovely scalloped edge on the Whisper White card stock layer is easy to achieve with the Budding Blooms dies – just use a pencil to mark the middle and the sides of the card stock before you die cut to ensure the angle on both sides matches.
My final card was designed to use up the off cuts of the designer series paper from the previous two cards and as so often happens I end up liking the “use it all up card” the best!
I can’t wait to see what the rest of the Art With Heart team have created with Magenta Madness today. Click on the links below to see what they’ve made.

Welcome to the final week of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop.
We have blogged every Stampin Up colour over 55 weeks in our Colour Creations Blog Hop and our final colour is another 2019-21 Stampin’ Up! in colour: Purple Posy
My inspiration for my card today came from my garden and one of my favourite plants, called Geisha girl. It has beautiful foliage all year round, orange berries and purple flowers.
Here’s a photo of my card in front of the plant.
The colour of these flowers gradiates from a deep purple on the outside, through to a pale purple on the inside, just like the stunning new 3/8″ (1 cm) Tricolor Ribbon on my card. The stripes are Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Purple Posy, all on one craft ribbon.
To create my Geisha Girl flower on my card I stamped Purple Posy ink onto Purple Posy card stock using the Pop of Petals stamp set and then punched out the stamped images with my four-petal flower punch.
The flower is made by layering two flowers together and adhering with a glue dot.
Silver and purple are such a classic colour combination so I stamped my silver foil card base with Smokey Slate ink, using other stamps from the Pop of Petals stamp set.
There are no sentiments in the Pop of Petal stamp set so I stamped the “A Little Note” stamp from the Butterfly Gala Stamp set before die cutting it withe the stitched rectangle die.
The gorgeous DSP behind the sentiment is from the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper.
Thank you so much for joining us for the past 55 weeks on the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop.

Welcome to week 54 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. We have extended our one year Colour Creations Blog Hop for another 5 weeks to introduce the 2019-21 Stampin’ Up! in colours.
This week’s colour is called Seaside Spray and it’s a beautiful pale cornflower blue.
I’m really in my happy place with any shade of blue, which is probably why I love hydrangeas so much. And one of the new stamp sets in the Stampin’ Up! 2019-2020 catalogue – Beautiful Friendship – was top of my wish list because of its hydrangea stamp.
Seaside Spray is such a stunning soft colour I decided to keep the colour palette for my card this week to just 4 colours: Seaside Spray, Old Olive, Whisper White and Silver Foil.
The Silver foil edged notecards with matching envelopes make card making a breeze – there’s no need to add a layer, you can just stamp directly onto a card as I have done here.
To add further colour variation I stamped off both the Old Olive Ink and the Seaside Spray Ink.
A few silver facetted gems, a bow of silver thread and the sentiment punched out with the Everyday Label Punch before adhering with sone dimensionals completes the card.

Welcome to week 53 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. We have extended our one year Colour Creations Blog Hop for another 5 weeks to introduce the 2019-21 Stampin’ Up! in colours.
This week’s colour is called Terracotta Tile – and it’s a colour that looks exactly like you’d expect!
At first I wasn’t sure what colours to use with Terracotta Tile but I’m really happy with this colour combination.
I really don’t know why this happens, but whenever I’m making a card using a colour I find tricky to work with, I often end up making more than one card. Here’s my first card.
Isn’t the pattern on the vases just gorgeous? I used my varied vases builder punch to punch the vases out from the new In Colour Designer Series Paper. It’s pictured here in Rococo Rose but the pack includes all 5 In Colours.
The Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins in Grapefruit Grove add a touch of bling to the card.
I wanted to try another colour combination for my second card. I think this colour combination makes Terracotta Tile look pinker.
Another favourite stamp set here…Rooted In Nature.
This really is simple stamping at it’s best and a great card for a beginner to try.

Welcome to week 51 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. We have extended our one year Colour Creations Blog Hop for another 5 weeks to introduce the 2019-21 Stampin’ Up! in colours.
This week’s colour is a new teal coloured greeny blue called Pretty Peacock. Depending on the light and the other colours it is used with it can look either green or blue.
My inspiration this week was this patterned quilt cover I recently purchased from IKEA.
I live in a house full of men (even my dog is male!) so I decided to add a touch of pink to my multipurpose craft room/study/spare bedroom.
In real life, my Pretty Peacock cardstock is very close to the colour of my quilt but in the photos, it looks a lot greener.
I’ve used another gorgeous new in colour – Rococo Rose – to make my card base and then I’ve stamped Tropical Chic stamps in Pretty Peacock ink onto Pretty Peacock cardstock to reflect the watermark background effect on the quilt.
The flowers, bird land other leaves are all stamped using the new Free as a Bird stamp set.
I’ve stamped these images with Basic Black, Shaded Spruce and Pretty Peacock ink and then used watercolour pencils and my blender pens to colour in before fussy cutting my images out.
On the inside, a stamped rectangle of Whisper White provides a space to write a message.

This week’s colour is a new shade of pink called Rococo Rose. This is the brand new designer series paper for the 2019-21 Stampin’ Up! in colours.
I’ve combined Rococo Rose with Pear Pizzazz, Basic Black and Whisper White.
If you take a close look at my card it looks like I have also used a lighter pink and a lighter green but I have simply stamped off the Rococo Rose and the Pear Pizzazz.
I’ve used the gorgeous Abstract Impressions stamp set – I’m so glad this set carried over to the new catalogue because it is one of those stamp sets that works well with any colour.
There are no punches or dies used on this card so it really is #simplestamping.
I’ve used my black marker pen to hand doodle over the top of my stamped images. This is such a simple technique and I really love the extra detail and dimension this gives to my card.
To finish my card off I mounted the stamped image onto Basic Black before adhering to the Rococo Rose card.
On the inside, a stamped square of Whisper White provides a space to write a message.
