Welcome back to our Colour Creations Showcase as we continue our showcase of over 50 beautiful Stampin’ Up! colours in alpha order.
This week we are showcasing Sahara Sand, the lightest neutral in the Stampin’ Up! colour range.
Recognise the colours on my card this week? You probably won’t because they are the brand new 2021-23 In Colours!
From top to bottom in my ink pad stack you can see Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen.
My card is “something old, something new” this week, with the “new” being the InColours and the “old” being the lovely floral stamp set and dies that I’ve white heat embossed onto my Sahara Sand card base.
I’ve loved the Bloom & Grow stamp set and I’m going to miss it a lot when it retires in a few week’s time.
After heat embossing the larger floral stamp (top left on stamp case image), the “thank you” sentiment and some of the smaller sprigs I used my blender pen to lift ink directly off the stamp pads and colour in the images. I snipped the larger image into two pieces and arranged the flowers behind my sentiment.
Before adhering everything to the card with dimensionals, I wrapped linen thread around the Sahara Sand Layer and tied a bow.
The notecards with matching envelopes make card making so quick and easy – I used a few left over leaves to decorate the back of my envelope.
Sahara Sand is a great colour to colour directly onto, especially after you have heat embossed in white. Although I’ve used my ink pads and blender pen for this card, you could also use water colour pencils with the blender pen, Stampin’ Write markers or your Stampin’ Blends.
All of the new InColours are available as Stampin’ Blends as well as Stampin’ Write markers and you can purchase them from the 1st May.
I can’t wait to see what everyone else has created with Sahara Sand today!
We will return next week on Wednesday March 10th when we’ll be showcasing a lovely soft blue 2019-21 InColour that is about to retire: Seaside Spray.

Welcome back to our Colour Creations Showcase as we continue our showcase of over 50 beautiful Stampin’ Up! colours in alpha order.
This week we are showcasing Purple Posy, a soon to be retired pale purple from Stampin’ Up’s 2019-21 InColour collection.
Purple Posy is a feminine and slightly old fashioned (in a good way!) colour that reminds me of my Nana and so I decided to make a card that I think she would have liked to receive. I paired Purple Posy with all neutrals: Crumb Cake, Basic Black and Basic White.
Because there is no Purple Posy stamp pad, I used a floral stamp set that could be coloured using Purple Posy Stampin Blends – Bloom & Grow with its matching Budding Blooms dies.
I could have used virtually any embossing folder on the Basic White card stock layer but decided on the Dainty Diamonds, again with my Nana in mind.
I love this scalloped linen ribbon – it was the Crumb Cake in the centre of this ribbon that inspired me to add Crumb Cake to my colour combination, both in the layer behind the sentiment and the colouring of the leaves.
Because there isn’t a “Happy Birthday” sentiment in the Bloom & Grow stamp set I used the “Happy Birthday” sentiment from Blossoms in Bloom instead.
My friend Tina Gillespie ALWAYS stamps the insides of her cards and she has inspired me to try to remember to do the same too …
I can’t wait to see what everyone else has created with Purple Posy today!

Welcome to week twenty-three of our 2020-2021 Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase.
Each week various members of our Art With Heart Colour Creations team will be bringing you weekly colour inspiration as we showcase our range of over 50 beautiful Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order.
Week 23 – Magenta Madness
This week I’ve drawn inspiration from one of Stampin Up!’s retired products: the Everything is Rosy product medley which featured a stunning colour combination of Night of Navy, Melon Mambo, Rose Gold and Whisper White.
Because Night of Navy and Melon Mambo looked so beautiful together in the Everything is Rosy product medley I thought I’d use a similar colour combination for my Magenta Madness card, using a selection of 2019-21 and 2020-22 In Colours.
Rococo Rose is a lot “muddier” than Magenta Madness but because I used my light Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blend I think I managed to get away with using these very different tones of pink together on my cards today.
All three cards feature the Bloom & Grow Stamp Set, the co-ordinating Budding Blooms dies and the 2020–2022 In colour 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper.
I needed to make some thank you cards for customers so for all three cards I used the lovely thank you sentiment from Bloom & Grow. The floral images and sentiments were stamped in Memento before colouring with Stampin’ Blends.
This first card doesn’t include Rococo Rose – the flowers are coloured using the light and dark Magenta Madness Stampin’ Blends.
My next card includes Rococo Rose and like the other two cards I’ve coloured Rhinestone Jewels with my dark Magenta Madness Stampin’ Blend to customise my embellishments.
The lovely scalloped edge on the Whisper White card stock layer is easy to achieve with the Budding Blooms dies – just use a pencil to mark the middle and the sides of the card stock before you die cut to ensure the angle on both sides matches.
My final card was designed to use up the off cuts of the designer series paper from the previous two cards and as so often happens I end up liking the “use it all up card” the best!
I can’t wait to see what the rest of the Art With Heart team have created with Magenta Madness today. Click on the links below to see what they’ve made.

Balmy Blue A4 Cardstock
Balmy Blue looks so fresh when paired with both of the darker blues – Pacific Point and Night of Navy – but today I’ve chosen Night of Navy because I wanted colours that are available in our Stampin Blends.
I used Tuxedo Black ink to stamp my flowers onto Whisper White cardstock because I coloured my stamped images with Stampin Blends. If I was going to watercolour with inkpads or watercolour pencils and an aqua brush I would have stamped using Stazon Ink instead and either watercolour paper or shimmery white paper.
The large floral images in the Bloom & Grow stamp set and its matching Budding Bloom dies make card making fast and easy because each stamp and dies creates one large spray of flowers already beautifully arranged!
For my card I’ve stamped and die cut the same flower spray twice. The large sentiment was die cut and layered using the long scalloped edge die.
Here’s a closer look at this gorgeous scalloped edge – it adds so much visual interest.
I’m really looking forward to using Balmy Blue with lots of different colour combinations and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the Art With Heart team have come up with today.
