Stampin’ Up! Framed and Festive Florets Christmas Cards

Stampin’ Up! Framed and Festive Florets Christmas Cards

Welcome to week sixteen of the Heart Of Christmas Blog Hop!

New product alert! Checkout the gorgeous Fitting Florets Collection!

It includes products that will be in the upcoming January-June Mini Catalogue, as well as three products of which will only be available from November 1 for a limited period of time.

The limited time products from this collection include:

  • The Framed & Festive Stamp Set – a Christmas sentiment set
  • The Fitting Florets DSP – both floral and patterned designs in Balmy Blue, Blushing Bride, Crushed Curry, Evening Evergreen, Night of Navy, Polished Pink, Soft Succulent.

For all my cards I’ve used the Evening Evergreen/Soft Succulent/Basic White leaves and berries patterned paper from the Fitting Florets DSP to make three Christmas Cards, changing the colours slightly for each card.

All three cards also use sentiments that are stamped and framed using the Framed Florets Bundle, available from November 1 until the end of June 2023.

Card one is a monochrome card that uses just the colours in this DSP pattern, along with die cut embellishments in Evening Evergreen Glimmer Specialty Paper, die cut using the Framed Florets dies.

White Classic Matte Dots coordinate with the white berries on the DSP.

Card two adds a touch of Petal Pink, with a layer of Petal Pink card stock and berries on the DSP coloured in with Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends!

Three Petal Pink Elegant Faceted Gems are the perfect embellishment to match the Petal Pink berries.

Card three adds Crumb Cake to the colour mix.

The stems of the Textural Elements are coloured with the Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends and the Natural Finish Ribbon has been stamped in Evening Evergreen using the “Merry Christmas” sentiment from the Framed & Festive Stamp Set.

Strips of leftover DSP and additional sentiments decorate the inside of all three cards.

Early Espresso Christmas Pines Card – Week 18 AWH Colour Creations

Early Espresso Christmas Pines Card – Week 18 AWH Colour Creations

Welcome to week eighteen of our Art With Heart 2022-23 Colour Creations blog hop!

This is a weekly blog hop where we showcase the stunning range of Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order over 12 months and this week we are featuring Early Espresso, the darkest of our neutrals family.

Early Espresso is such a dark colour I normally only use a little of it to make trees, wood and branches, however, for this card I decided to totally embrace this deep rich brown colour, using it with the darkest of the Brushed Metallic Cardstock to create a plethora of pine cones for my monochromatic card.

I seem to be permanently on a default button that is set to using Basic White and I always forget to use Very Vanilla, but not this week!

This card was super quick to make because the Early Espresso layer and the Brushed Metallic Cardstock layer are each cut using these two enormous dies in the Christmas Pinecones dies.

The Early Espresso faux suede trim is threaded through a Seasonal Label Dies stamped with the “Merry Christmas” sentiment from Christmas to Remember Stamp Set and embellished with a Natural Woven Ribbon bow.

Although it doesn’t say it on the Stampin’ Up! website, this ribbon is actually Very Vanilla.

With all the foil and the dark colours this was a super hard card to photograph, however, if you look closely you can see the Very Vanilla Classic Matte Dots that finish my Early Espresso card off.

Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Michele Taylor – I can’t wait to see what Michele has made this week!

Sahara Sand Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks Card – AWH Colour Creations

Sahara Sand Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks Card – AWH Colour Creations

Welcome to week 41 of our 2021-22 Colour Creations blog hop! Tonight we are showcasing Sahara Sand from the Neutrals family.

Sahara Sand is the lightest neutral and such a versatile colour that really works well when paired with any colour.

In particular, I like using Sahara Sand to add shadows to “ground” stamped images into a scene, however today I’m using my Sahara Sand ink pad and a blending brush to showcase the beautiful Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks.

I’ve used the bottom middle and right masks for my card today.

This photo below shows how you can achieve an incredible two-tone effect using the same colour, just by colouring one section of the mask and then using another part of the mask to colour again on top of the first layer of colour.

I added masked leaves in Pear Pizzazz using the bottom middle mask – the leaves are just one layer of colour but I used my blending brush to blend in a natural looking variation in depth of colour.

I then used the stitched rectangles to die cut my flower layer, adding a layer of Basic Black underneath. I really love this colour combination of Sahara Sand, Pear Pizzazz and Basic Black!

The “Just a Note” sentiment is from the Flowering Flowers stamp set, stamped in Versamark ink, white heat embossed and die cut with another stitched rectangle die.

Instead of adding a bow of twine to embellish the card, I decided to use a few of the Classic Matte dots in the centre of the flowers instead.

Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Andrea Sargent – I can’t wait to see what Andrea has made this week!
