Welcome to week 29 of our 2021-22 Colour Creations blog hop! Tonight we are showcasing Misty Moonlight, a soft blue from the 2020-22 In Colour family.
Misty Moonlight is such a beautiful blue and one of my all time favourite Stampin’ Up! colours – I will be so sad to see this colour retire when the Annual Catalogue ends in May 2022.
Because I am still making Christmas cards (why am I so disorganised with Christmas every year!!!) I thought I’d step up my production and make not one, but six cards from one sheet of this stunning Misty Moonlight 12×12 DSP from the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper. My fellow Art With Heart team member, Tina, has been really inspiring me with how many cards she has made with her Sheetload of cards designs each week!
Each of the 6 cards is slightly different due to the variations in the DSP, which is why for some cards I stuck the tree on the left and for others, on the right. The white tree pops out more if you lay it on the darker DSP.
The gorgeous sentiment comes from the Inspired Wishes stamp set and some Subtle Shimmer Sequins complete this simple card.
Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Kate Morgan – I can’t wait to see what Kate has made this week!
If at any time you find a broken link, you can find the complete list of all participants below.
We’re taking a Christmas break but will be back to showcase Mossy Meadow on January 5. Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year – wherever you are in the world, stay safe, stay calm … and keep on crafting xxx
Welcome to week twenty-three of our 2020-2021 Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase.
Each week various members of our Art With Heart Colour Creations team will be bringing you weekly colour inspiration as we showcase our range of over 50 beautiful Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order.
Week 23 – Magenta Madness
This week I’ve drawn inspiration from one of Stampin Up!’s retired products: the Everything is Rosy product medley which featured a stunning colour combination of Night of Navy, Melon Mambo, Rose Gold and Whisper White.
Because Night of Navy and Melon Mambo looked so beautiful together in the Everything is Rosy product medley I thought I’d use a similar colour combination for my Magenta Madness card, using a selection of 2019-21 and 2020-22 In Colours.
Rococo Rose is a lot “muddier” than Magenta Madness but because I used my light Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blend I think I managed to get away with using these very different tones of pink together on my cards today.
All three cards feature the Bloom & Grow Stamp Set, the co-ordinating Budding Blooms dies and the 2020–2022 In colour 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper.
I needed to make some thank you cards for customers so for all three cards I used the lovely thank you sentiment from Bloom & Grow. The floral images and sentiments were stamped in Memento before colouring with Stampin’ Blends.
This first card doesn’t include Rococo Rose – the flowers are coloured using the light and dark Magenta Madness Stampin’ Blends.
My next card includes Rococo Rose and like the other two cards I’ve coloured Rhinestone Jewels with my dark Magenta Madness Stampin’ Blend to customise my embellishments.
The lovely scalloped edge on the Whisper White card stock layer is easy to achieve with the Budding Blooms dies – just use a pencil to mark the middle and the sides of the card stock before you die cut to ensure the angle on both sides matches.
My final card was designed to use up the off cuts of the designer series paper from the previous two cards and as so often happens I end up liking the “use it all up card” the best!
I can’t wait to see what the rest of the Art With Heart team have created with Magenta Madness today. Click on the links below to see what they’ve made.

A few weeks ago I shared some cards I made with this gorgeous Stampin’ Up! Birds & Branches Bundle. I have to admit I’m slightly obsessed with these sweet little birds!
Today I’m sharing a couple more cards made with the Birds & Branches Bundle – this first one has a touch of Misty Moonlight and features some cute little paper flowers from the Boho Indigo product medley.
I love the touch of Misty Moonlight blue on the tummies of the birds, but seriously, how cute are these paper flowers from the Boho Indigo product medley?
They come in two sizes with the little brown wooden button already in the centre of the flower – but you don’t have to buy the entire medley to get the flowers as they also come in the Boho Medley refill.
I cut my branch from one of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper DSP sheets and the “Happy Birthday” sentiment is from the Blossoms in Bloom bundle.
Card two just uses the Birds and More dies, this time with the In Good Taste DSP as the background layer behind the birds. Doesn’t this wood grain paper look so realistic!
I die cut my birds out of Crumb Cake card stock and finished off the card with a double bow of linen thread.
In case you missed my post four weeks ago, this was the birdhouse card I made also using the Birds & Branches Bundle and the stitched triangle dies. You can see more photos of this card and how I made it here.
These are the stitched triangle dies and Birds and More Dies I used to make my birdhouse card.
The soft pink is Blushing Bride and I used my water painter to add a touch of it to their tummies.

I’m so excited to give you a sneak peek today of some new products that will be available to purchase from 3rd June: the Lovely You Bundle (Lovely You stamp set and Lovely Labels Pick a Punch), the Flowers for Every Season 6×6 DSP and five brand new 2020-22 In Colours.
Let’s take a closer look at these in colours. I must admit my early favourite is Misty Moonlight – it’s a softer version of Night of Navy and it looks stunning with Seaside Spray
Each of my five cards feature one of the new in colours, co-ordinated matching DSP and topped with a layered sentiment punched out using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch, which is in a bundle with the Lovely Labels stamp set.
This amazing new punch that lets you punch out 6 different styles of punch in three different widths. I used it on the Mother’s Day card I shared with you here to create a double layered mount.
Because this punch gives you the option of 2 different scalloped ends each in 3 different widths and unlimited lengths you can create perfect layered sentiments for so many of our different punches.
For card one I punched out the sentiment in Misty Moonlight at 1 inch wide and layered it onto white card stock punched out with the Timeless label punch (made longer by threading the card stock in one end at a time).
The next colour is Bumblebee, with the white card stock punched out at 1 inch wide and the top layer in Bumblebee punched out with the different end of the punch at 3/4 of an inch. Because it punches only one end of the card stock at a time I could make it long enough to fit this sentiment.
Isn’t Just Jude just gorgeous! For this tiny sentiment I used the narrowest width strip of card stock (1/2 inch) in Just Jade layered on top of the 3/4 inch width in Whisper White.
Magenta Madness is very bright but it teams so well with Melon Mambo and Blushing Bride. Here I’ve used the 3/4 inch and the 1 inch widths in the two different designs for the “just because” sentiment.
Cinnamon Cider is last but definitely not least and like the Magenta Madness card I’ve used the 3/4 inch and the 1 inch widths to punch and layer my sentiment.
The beautiful DSP I’ve used on all my cards is called Flowers For Every Season and it features all the new in colours. There are 24 different patterns in this 6×6 pack of DSP!
Tomorrow I will be featuring another stamp set that is retiring from the 2019 Annual Catalogue and the 2020 January to June Mini Catalogue, but in the meantime you can view all the retiring products in my online shop.
Would you like me your very own Stampin’ Up! 2020-21 Annual Catalogue?
