Stampin’ Up! So Saffron Petal Park Card

Stampin’ Up! So Saffron Petal Park Card

Welcome to week forty seven of our Art With Heart 2022-23 Colour Creations blog hop – only three more weeks to go!

This is a weekly blog hop where we showcase the stunning range of Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order over 12 months and this week we are featuring So Saffron, which will soon be retiring from the Subtles family.

I’ve used the Petal Park bundle and the Sentimental Park bundle for my thanks card – all these products are all carrying over to the new 2023-24 Annual Catalogue, however if you want to save 10% on these bundles, you’ll need to order them before May 1st.

First, I stamped the leaf stamp from Sentimental Park in Soft Sea Foam to create a wreath shape off the right hand side of the card stock.

Next, I stamped the petals from Petal Park in Sahara Sand, coloured them in with light and dark So Saffron Stampin’ Blends and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends for the centre of the flowers.

The “Thanks” sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink onto Sahara Sand cardstock, white heat embossed and die cut using a Sentimental Park die.

Once the sentiment and a double bow of linen thread was attached to the stamped wreath, I punched the flowers out with the Petal Park builder punch and adhered them to the wreath as well.

The centre of the flowers were embellished using the Loose Daisy Embellishments – the green leaves on these embellishments were too strong for the soft colours, so I gently twisted the leaves off with my finger before adhering the embellishments to the centre of the flowers.

It has been super hard to photograph this card with the weather we’ve had in Sydney this week, so I do apologise for the quality of the images in today’s blog.

Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Rachel Palmieri  – I can’t wait to see what Rachel has made this week!

If at any time you find a broken link, you can find the complete list of all participants below.

So Saffron Happiness Abounds Card – AWH Colour Creations

So Saffron Happiness Abounds Card – AWH Colour Creations

Welcome to week 44 of our 2021-22 Colour Creations blog hop! Tonight we are showcasing So Saffron from the Subtles family.

As a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator we get to see and order from the new catalogue early, so when my 2022-23 annual Catalogue preorder turned up this week I couldn’t resist giving you a sneak peek one of one of the new products. The Happiness Abounds bundle includes the Happiness Abounds stamp set and the Blossoming Happiness dies.

This gorgeous bundle is part of the Hues of Happiness suite collection featured on the front cover of the new catalogue. It comes with the most stunning DSP with images that you can die cut using the Blossoming Happiness dies.

My card uses the Happiness Abounds bundle, with images coloured using my So Saffron, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.

My yellow rose sits on a layer of Basic White cardstock die cut using one of the scalloped contour dies and a piece of Subtles 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) Designer Series Paper, on sale now for 50% off as it is retiring soon.

Isn’t this “happy birthday” sentiment just gorgeous?

I love the different depths of yellow that can be achieved by using the So Saffron and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.

The Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels add just a touch of bling.

Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Caroline Manwaring – I can’t wait to see what Caroline has made this week!

If at any time you find a broken link, you can find the complete list of all participants below.

If you live in Australia, you can find and purchase most of these products (apart from the Happiness Abounds bundle) in my Stampin’ Up! Online Store.

We will be back to showcase Soft Sea Foam on April 20.

Wherever you are in the world, stay safe, stay calm … and keep on crafting xxx

Stampin’ Up! So Saffron – Week 48 AWH Colour Creations Showcase

Stampin’ Up! So Saffron – Week 48 AWH Colour Creations Showcase

Welcome back to our Colour Creations Showcase as we continue our showcase of over 50 beautiful Stampin’ Up! colours in alpha order.

This week we are showcasing So Saffron, a creamy pale yellow from the subtles family.

I’m excited to be sharing another new stamp set from the 2021-22 Annual catalogue: In Symmetry. You can save 10% and purchase the stamp set as a bundle with the Symmetry Stems Border punch, however I’ve only used the stamp set on my card today.

The In Symmetry stamp set has a lovely “Scandi” folk art feel which I’ve tried to replicate in my slimline card today.

This is such a versatile stamp set because it would work with any colour combination. After making this card I realised I’ve used the colours of my house exterior: black, different shades of gray and a pale yellow front door!

The In Symmetry photopolymer stamps are easy to use and easy to align – I simply made up my design as I went along. I think this stamp set has a lot of design possibilities and will be great for wreath and square cards too, as well as making your own DSP.

The Basic Black embossed strip behind the stamped panel has been embossed using one of the Greenery embossing folders – it’s hard to see in these photos but this embossing folder really matches the stamped leaves.

Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels add a co-ordinating touch of bling, picking up on the pale yellow of the So Saffron flowers.

I stamped and fussy cut a spare flower to use on the inside of my card. The sentiment is from this stamp set, stamped in Tuxedo Memento.

I can’t wait to see what everyone else has created with So Saffron today!

We will return next week on Wednesday, May 19, when we’ll be showcasing Soft Sea Foam.
