Your Christmas countdown continues – it’s 16 weeks today until Christmas Day! And in even more exciting news, it’s only two days until the Stampin’ Up! September December Mini Catalogue goes live and you can purchase the Merry & Bright bundle.
Sometimes the dies in a bundle can be overlooked if they don’t have a matching stamp set, and to honest, I don’t think I realised the Merry & Bright bundle included these two strings of Christmas lights until my delivery arrived!
I’ve used the die with the more rounded light bulb to create this slimline card. Four “string of Christmas lights” dies were die cut from Basic White cardstock and then coloured in with a variety of Stampin’ Blends.
The top layer of the card was embossed using the Fern 3D embossing folder to mimic the branches of a Christmas tree.
Using the star die in the Merry & Bright bundle, I die cut a few stars from the More Dazzle Specialty paper.
The sentiment is from the Merry & Bright stamp set, stamped in Memento Tuxedo black for contrast against the white card base and card front layer and and the bright colours of the Christmas lights.
Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Rosa Leyden. I can’t wait to see what Rosa has made this week.

Welcome to week forty three of our Art With Heart 2022-23 Colour Creations blog hop.
This is a weekly blog hop where we showcase the stunning range of Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order over 12 months and this week we are featuring Rich Razzleberry from the Regals family.
Rich Razzleberry is a gorgeous colour that I simply forget to use! When I do remember to use it I wonder why I don’t use it more often!
I love Fresh Freesia and Rich Razzleberry together so this is my colour combination for this week.
My layering mask card is a super fast and easy card that uses the Loveliest Layers Decorative Masks and blending brushes, inspired by cards shared recently by the Stampin’ Up! CEO, Sara Douglass on her Facebook live. You can watch her video and see her cards here.
The colour combination possibilities with these masks are really endless!
One way to line up the layering masks is to use a Stamparatus, placing the cardstock and the masks right into the top corner of the Stamparatus before inking up the layers – this aligns the images perfectly without having to tape them into place.
Once the mask is firmly in place, use a blending brush to lift ink off an ink pad (use a separate blending brush for each colour) and then gently blend the ink over the mask in a circular motion. You can make the level of colour intensity as light or as dark as you like.
The method Sara and I both used involved taping one side of the masks to your grid paper, using strips of Stampin’ up! Masking Tape or washi tape. This method works really well if you are making more than one card front.
The cardstock layers were die cut using the Stitched Rectangle Dies before adhering to a Crumb Cake Card base. The “Hello” sentiment is from the Biggest Wish Stamp Set stamped in Memento ink.
Inside the card I used the “friend” sentiment from the Biggest Wish Stamp Set and added some spare masked pieces I cut to fit.
Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Rachel Palmieri – I can’t wait to see what Rachel has made this week!

Welcome to week seven of our Art With Heart 2022-23 Colour Creations blog hop! This is a weekly blog hop where we showcase the stunning range of Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order over 12 months and this week we are featuring Basic Gray.
The stunning Heart & Home Designer Series Paper retires soon on June 30 so I really wanted to use it for my cards tonight. I love the different widths of the Basic Gray wood grain patterns and I’ve roughed up the edges of this DSP with paper snips before I adhered them to my Basic Gray card bases.
The darkness of the Basic Gray cardstock really makes this woodgrain DSP pop and I’ve coloured the flowers and leaves with Fresh Freesia and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends using the light Basic Black Stampin’ Blend for the centre of the largest flowers.
The larger floral spray stamp from the Blessings of Home stamp set has been stamped in Basic Gray and coloured with Stampin’ Blends. The Blessings of Home bundle also includes the Flowers of Home Dies which I’ve used to cut out the larger floral spray stamp as well as die cut the Basic Gray sprigs on my slimline card.
I’d also stamped and coloured the smaller spray of flowers from the Blessings of Home set but decided not to use it on the slimline card, so I quickly made a second card with it.
The flowers on this thank you card are layered on top of one of the Heart & Home Doilies and these doilies will also retire on June 30.
My layered bow consists of three different ribbons: Gray Granite Shimmer ribbon and Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon that have been cut in half using my paper snips as well as linen thread.
Matte Dots in Basic Gray and some Wink of Stella in the middle of the largest flowers complete my cards.
Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Tina Gillespie – I can’t wait to see what Tina has made this week!

Welcome to week six of our Art With Heart 2022-23 Colour Creations blog hop! This is a weekly blog hop where we showcase the stunning range of Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order over 12 months.
My card today has very little stamping as the beautiful flowers are actually a new black and white Designer Series Paper called Perfectly Penciled.
After colouring one of the floral sprays on the edge of the DSP using Balmy Blue and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends, I fussy cut the flowers out with my paper snips and adhered them to a layer of Basic White cardstock using multipurpose glue.
The “Thank You” sentiment is from a lovely new sentiment stamp set called Go-To Greetings. I felt that the ornate, slightly old fashioned script looked like handwriting and matched the pretty blue floral sprays.
A couple of excess pieces of DSP adorn the inside of my card.
Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Kate Morgan – I can’t wait to see what Kate has made this week!

Welcome to week four of our Art With Heart 2022-23 Colour Creations blog hop! We are showcasing each of the 5 new In Colours for the first 5 weeks before we then feature our core colours in alphabetical order for the rest of the year.
Our fourth new In Colour is Sweet Sorbet, a vibrant red that sits neatly between Real Red and Poppy Parade. Here’s what Sweet Sorbet looks like in comparison to the other current Stampin’ Up! reds and pinks.
I decided to use the Eclectic Garden stamp set for my card because the flower stamp reminds me of a Waratah, the native flower of my home state of New South Wales, Australia.
Waratahs are a vibrant red, the ideal flower to be coloured in with Sweet Sorbet.
In the end I decided to create a slimline card also using two of the other images from Eclectic Garden because they are all so cute. After all, radishes can be red and the berries could be lingonberries!
The splatters are stamped with another stamp included in the Eclectic Garden stamp set, as is the cute “Thanks So Much” curved sentiment. The embossing folder is the the 3D Hive Embossing folder.
I used my light and dark Mossy Meadow and Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Blends to colour the images in and the 2 largest circles from the new Stylish Shapes Dies to die cut the images out.
Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Rachel Woollard – I can’t wait to see what has made this week!
If at any time you find a broken link, you can find the complete list of all participants below.
Welcome back to our Colour Creations Showcase as we continue our showcase of over 50 beautiful Stampin’ Up! colours in alpha order.
This week we are showcasing Soft Sea Foam, the palest green in the Stampin’ Up! colour range.
I’d love to claim credit for the idea for my card today, but sadly I’m not that clever! One of the incredible Artisan Design team members, Martin Stone, originally came up with this super creative use of the grid pattern paper from Handsomely Suited DSP. As soon as I saw his card I knew I just had to make one too.
The design is inspired by needlepoint charts and I based my design on a Cath Kidston needpoint chart.
My colour scheme pairs Soft Sea Foam with Mint Macaron (I love these two greens together), Flirty Flamingo and Real Red.
I used blends to colour my grid paper but markers or watercolour pencils would also work well. The advantage of using blends is that you get a light and dark blend for each colour.
The “you’ve been on my mind sentiment” is from the Simply Succulents Stamp Set, die cut using a stitched rectangle die.
A soft bow using the Blushing Bride bakers twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack completes the card.
I can’t wait to see what everyone else has created with Soft Sea Foam today!
We will return next week on Wednesday 26th May when we’ll be showcasing our last colour in alphabetical order: Soft Suede. We will then return on 2nd June to showcase our new 2021-22 In Colours.
