Welcome to week twenty-three of our Art With Heart 2024-25 Colour Creations blog hop!
This week we’re featuring Flirty Flamingo and I’m giving you a sneak peek of some of the brand new online exclusives that will be available to order from 5th November.
The Happy Hibiscus Bundle includes the Happy Hibiscus Stamp Set and the Happy Hibiscus Hybrid Embossing Folder which includes and embossing folder and 11 dies.
The dies can either be used with the embossing folder to die cut embossed flowers or they can be used to die cut stamped images from the Happy Hibiscus Stamp Set. I haven’t photographed all the dies, just the main die that is designed to cut out the embossed cardstock flowers.
I was searching online for a colour combination that would work well with Flirty Flamingo and found a beautiful card made my Michelle Miller for the Colour INkspiration challenge #171 that inspired both my layout and the bolder colours I’ve used.
The CI#171 colour combination that inspired me was Pretty in Pink, Berry Burst, Blackberry Bliss and Summer Splash, however I’ve used Flirty Flamingo, Poppy Parade, Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock for card one.
And I’ve used Flirty Flamingo, Poppy Parade, Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green for card two.
Both cards began with the ink colours blended onto Basic White card stock using blending brushes.
Then I randomly stamped embossed and die cut various images and sentiments and laid them out on the blended card bases until I was happy with the layout.
This is card one. I’ve used a strip of the Happy Hibiscus embossed panel in Flirty flamingo down the left side.
This stunning Lost Lagoon Soft Cording is another online exclusive coming 5th November.
Can you see how perfectly the Flirty Flamingo and Pretty Peacock frosted dots match the card’s colours?
I heat embossed and fussy cut the Happy Hibiscus Stamp Set sentiment with my paper snips. Love, love, love these mixed fonts!
Card two was super easy to make as most of the elements were left over from card one. I just had to blend another layer and stamp and die cut a few more leaves.
It’s amazing how different Flirty Flamingo looks when used against these vibrant greens!
On both cards I added some white die cut foliage die cut using one of the Painted Lavender Dies. The Flirty Flamingo bakers twine is from the Baker’s Twine Three Color Pack.
So what do you think? Do you prefer the “dark and moody” Pretty Peacock/Lost Lagoon card or the vibrant and tropical Granny Apple Green/Lemon Lime Twist card?
Now it’s time to hop in over to our next participant, the lovely Kate Morgan. I can’t wait to see what Kate has made this week!

Stunning cards Cathy. Love them in both colour combinations but the darker green caught my attention more.
Stunning cards, Cathy, perfect timing for new product to arrive for Flirty Flamingo! I really love the vibrant and tropical Granny Apple Green/Lemon Lime Twist card, with that beautiful panel down the centre on the white dry embossed background!
Nah, can’t pick a favourite! Love ‘em both equally. What is fascinating is the way Flirty Flamingo can be both bold and subtle, and I hadn’t really thought about that before. Thanks for opening my eyes
Two fabulous cards Cathy. Your use of stamped images and embossed die cuts together is very effective.
