Welcome to week nine of our Art With Heart 2025-26 Colour Creations Insta hop!
This week we’re celebrating Berry Burst, a bold, vibrant fuchsia-pink with rich magenta undertones, sitting somewhere between a deep pink and a bright raspberry. Originally introduced as part of the 2017–2019 In Color collection, Berry Burst was brought back in 2023 and is now part of the core colour range in the Brights collection.
I’ve made two cards for this week’s blog, both featuring the the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape and the Extraordinary Flora Bundle that die cuts out the flowers from the washi tape. Such a time saver!
A Personalised Birthday Card Using the Party Dies Bundle
It was my youngest niece’s 7th birthday this week and she loves pinks and purples so I took the opportunity to make a personalised birthday card for her in Berry Burst (with a matching envelope).
This card uses three new products I’ve ordered from the 2025-26 annual catalogue: the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape, the Extraordinary Flora Bundle and the Party Dies Bundle (Includes the Party Alphabet and Party Banners Dies)
Here’s a peek at the inside of the card and the matching envelope. I went a bit nuts with the flowers, but when you’re turning 7 is there really such a thing as too many flowers?
Using Partial Die Cutting to Create a Folded Banner Card
For Eve’s card, I wanted to do something a little different—a banner shaped card that still opened like a traditional folding card.
The solution? Partial die cutting using the Nested Banner Dies.
I started with a piece of A4 Basic White cardstock, cut in half lengthways and folded in half to create a tent-fold card base. Then I placed the large banner die on top, making sure the top edge of the die slightly overhung the folded edge so the die wouldn’t cut all the way through at the top fold.
Next, I ran it through my die cutting machine, but only partially. I positioned the top cutting plate so it stopped just short of the fold line, allowing the die to cut through the sides and bottom while leaving the top fold intact.
The result is a banner-shaped card base that opens like a regular card but looks anything but ordinary!
I used both Party Banners Dies together to create a gold foil frame—a great way to add shimmer without wasting a full sheet of foil.
I then layered an embossed white panel (embossed using the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder and die cut using the Party Banners Dies), die-cut Berry Burst letters, and added cascade of colourful die cut floral embellishments from the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape to bring it all to life.
Berry Burst Birthday Card #2
While I was die cutting the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape I was having so much fun I decided to make another birthday card. After all, it’s always handy to have a stash of birthday cards on hand. This birthday card features the Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper and its colours perfectly match the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape.
I’ve stamped the “Happy Birthday” sentiment from the Simply Said Stamp Set and die cut it using circles from the Stylish Shapes dies. Like I did with Eve’s birthday card, I used the Gold Foil from the Brushed Silver & Gold Foil Specialty Paper (on sale now in the Last Chance Products) to add some bling.
I had so much fun creating these very feminine Berry Burst cards using the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape!

We’ll be back next Wednesday when we are showcasing Blackberry Bliss.
Welcome to week ten of our Art With Heart 2024-25 Colour Creations blog hop!
This week we’re featuring Berry Burst, a beautiful berry colour from the Brights family. I love this colour with Night of Navy and other shades of blue, however this is the colour combination I settled on for my card this week.
I’m away from home for a few days and was only able to take limited paper craft supplies with me to make my card. Let’s just say it was something to do with the number of wetsuits and surfboards in the card. And okay, maybe also a tiny bit related to the sewing machine and quilt supplies that also accompanied us on our trip!
So whether we blame Pete or me, this week I have made a simple stamping card that only uses a stamp set, paper snips, ink pads, embellishments and a pack of note cards with envelopes. There is no die cutting, punches or embossing. And it was super fun to make!
I love this new stamp set called the Cake Fancy Stamp Set. It has so many tiny little cake decorating elements to play with, just like decorating a cake.
I forgot to bring Berry Burst cardstock with me so I made my own by swiping my Berry Burst stamp pad over a piece of a notecard. The hairdryer in a our caravan park cabin was perfect for drying it – I’m sure it had never been used this way before!
I stamped multiple stamps in the different ink colours to see how the ink colours I’d bought away with me looked together.
Poor old Petal Pink was rejected as I decided on a monochromatic colour combo instead, stamping an Early Espresso cake stand, ribbon and leaves; Crumb Cake leaves: Blackberry Bliss bottom cake layer, flower and piped icing; Berry Burst middle cake layer and flower: Petunia Pop top cake layer and flower.
It was super easy to fussy cut the flowers and leaves for the top of the cake – they add a wonderful dimension to the card.
The sentiments were stamped right onto the cake layers in Early Espresso. I love the effect this gives to the card!
Purple Fine Shimmer Gems add a touch of bling and I stamped a notecard envelope flap to match.
Now it’s time to hop in over to our next participant, the lovely Di Furniss – I can’t wait to see what Di has made this week!

Welcome to week 4 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop!
This week we are showcasing one of the 2017-2019 In Colours: Berry Burst.
For my projects today I’ve teamed Berry Burst with Old Olive and Basic Black…I just love the richness of these colours together!
Both cards are made with the Floral Statements stamp set. This is such a great stamp set because it does all the hard work for you. There’s no juggling the position of the image and sentiment…both stamps artfully combine the two, so all you need to do is simply stamp and then colour. Too easy!
My first card couldn’t be simpler…I simply stamped the “Thanks” stamp in Basic Black onto Whisper White card stock and coloured the flowers with Berry Burst and Old Olive Stampin’ Write Markers.
I then mounted the coloured image onto Basic Black card stock and the stunning Share What You Love DSP, adhering it all to a Whisper White Card. The final touch is a bow made from the Berry Burst Metallic Edge Ribbon.
The second card was just as easy. This time I stamped the “Hello” stamp onto some of the incredibly versatile Wood Textures DSP, coloured with my Stampin’ Write Markers, then mounted the coloured image onto Basic Black card stock and a Whisper White Card.
The finishing touch for this card was some Basic Jewels Pearls. I’m really happy with the effect the Wood Textures DSP gives to the stamped image.
Both these cards couldn’t be simpler…I love how this stamp set makes me look like an artist!
Berry Burst is such a beautiful colour to use for flower stamps and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the Art With Heart team have come up with today.
