Welcome to week twenty nine of our Art With Heart 2023-24 Colour Creations blog hop!
This week we are showcasing Highland Heather, a lovely soft purple colour from the subtles family. Can you guess the other colours I’ve paired it with on my thank you card?
There are actually just four colours on this card: Highland Heather, Night of Navy, Lost Lagoon and Basic White.
I’ve used a blending brush to achieve different shades of purple with Highland Heather ink. I die cut the coloured cardstock using flower dies from the Around The Bend Dies.
The leaves have been cut from the Lost Lagoon Soft Shimmer 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Paper Combo Pack, on sale for three days, reduced to $15.40. Aren’t these colours just stunning together?
It’s hard to capture the soft shimmer of this specialty paper in a photo, but it looks amazing in real life.
The white heat embossed thank you sentiment is from the Go To Greetings stamp set.
The Fresh Freesia gems from the Tinsel Gems Three-Pack are the finishing touch.
Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Rachel Woollard – I can’t wait to see what Rachel has made this week!

Welcome to week twenty of our Art With Heart 2022-23 Colour Creations blog hop!
This is a weekly blog hop where we showcase the stunning range of Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order over 12 months and this week we are featuring Flirty Flamingo from the Brights family.
Tonight’s card features another new die set from the Perfect Partners Promotion – the Apple Blossom dies that coordinate with the Apple Harvest stamp set.
My slimline card was inspired by some of the design elements in this card that created by one of the amazing Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team members, Stesha Bloodhart in the USA.
Because I went away for a few nights over the weekend I’ve run out of time this week and made my card just before the blog went live tonight. I do apologise for the quality of photography as I had to photograph my card with overhead lights on.
The slimline Crumb Cake card base is topped with a white card stock layer that has been embossed with the Typeworn Type Embossing Folder before a dusting of Flirty Flamingo was added a blending brush.
The apple blossom flowers, leaves and stems are die cut from Basic White cardstock using the Apple Blossom dies and then coloured with Soft Suede, Mossy Meadow and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends.
Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Rachel Palmieri – I can’t wait to see what Rachel has made this week!

Welcome to week nineteen of our Art With Heart 2022-23 Colour Creations blog hop!
This is a weekly blog hop where we showcase the stunning range of Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order over 12 months and this week we are featuring Evening Evergreen, a very dark and dramatic 2021-2023 In Colour.
Because Evening Evergreen is the darkest of Stampin’ Up! greens I thought I would try pairing it with the brightest of Stampin’ Up! greens – Parakeet Party – and I’ve decided I really love this colour combination!
The embossed layer couldn’t be simpler. After embossing Basic White card stock with the Fern 3D Embossing folder use blending brushes to add Evening Evergreen and Parakeet Party ink to the ferns.
I trimmed the embossed layer to 9.5 x 13.8cm, adhered it to a Parakeet Party 10 x 14.3cm cardstock layer and then adhered both of these layers to a a 10.5 x 14.8 cm Evening Evergreen layer – half a A4 sheet of cardstock.
The “Sending” layered die is from the Sending Dies. The secret to success with using a layering word die like this is to add an adhesive sheet behind the cardstock BEFORE you die cut the word out. It turns your die into a sticker that you can easily reposition to get it perfectly aligned.
Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Tina Gillespie – I can’t wait to see what Tina has made this week!

Welcome to week fifteen of our Art With Heart 2022-23 Colour Creations blog hop! This is a weekly blog hop where we showcase the stunning range of Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order over 12 months and this week we are featuring one of my very favourite colours – Crumb Cake.
I love Crumb Cake so much because it is such a wonderful neutral that works with every single colour. I wanted to make it the feature colour on this card by only adding Basic White and just a touch of Real Red, but I might have added too much red!.
My card is actually CASED from this incredible card created last year by UK demonstrator and former Artisan designer, Emma Goddard. Isn’t this card simply stunning?
I loved the loved the colour combination of Real Red and Crumb Cake, as well as the effect she created by heat embossing a large word stamp, then dry embossing it with an embossing folder and then, finally, blending Crumb Cake ink over the top to make the word pop out and highlight the texture of the embossing folder.
As many of these products are now retired, I had to get creative and CASE this design with current Stampin’ up! products.
The “Sending” stamp is from the Sending Smiles stamp set
The “Christmas Wishes” is from the Leaves of Holly Stamp set
The dry embossing is created with the “Wintry” embossing folder
The double bow is created using the Bakers Twine Essentials and the Real Red & Garden Green 3/8″ (1 cm) Ribbon Combo Pack
The white heat embossed word is invisible until you blend the Crumb Cake ink over it with a blending brush.
The “Christmas wishes” sentiment was also heat embossed in white onto Basic White Cardstock and then I rubbed Real Red ink over the top and cut the sentiment in half.
To achieve the white border of Emma’s “Merry and” reverse stamps I mounted the Christmas wishes sentiment onto some Basic White card stock before attaching to the card.
The Real Red Ribbon was cut in half lengthways before tying into a bow and the top bow is Crumb Cake bakers twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack, however you could use Linen Thread as well.
Red Rhinestone jewels popped into the middle of the snowflakes complete the card.
Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Michele Taylor – I can’t wait to see what Michele has made this week!
Welcome to week two of our Art with Heart 2022-23 Colour Creations blog hop! We are showcasing each of the 5 new In Colours for the first 5 weeks before we feature our core colours in alphabetical order.
Our second new In Colour is Parakeet Party, a vibrant lime green that is almost fluorescent. This colour screams happy and demands to be noticed!
Here’s what Parakeet Party looks like in comparison to the other current Stampin’ Up! greens – we have so many gorgeous greens to choose from I had to shrink this image down to fit it on the page!
My card today is very quick and easy to make and shows just how gorgeous Parakeet Party looks with blue/green colours. The background is created using three different blending brushes and these three colours: Pool Party at the top, Parakeet Party in the middle and Bermuda Bay at the base.
The palm trees and grass die cut in Basic Black cardstock using the Paradise Palm dies really pop against this vibrant background.
The sentiment is from the Paradise Palm stamp set, heat embossed in white and die cut using a Potted Succulent die. I really enjoy making gender neutral designs because they are so versatile.
This scene takes me back to very happy time, sitting on a Hawaiian Beach and watching the sunset with my boys.
Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Kathryn Ruddick – I can’t wait to see what Kathryn has made this week!

Welcome back to our Colour Creations Showcase as we continue our showcase of over 50 beautiful Stampin’ Up! colours in alpha order.
This week we are showcasing Pumpkin Pie, a rich orange from our regals family.
I wanted to make a thank you card for my amazing designer Christine who has just designed and typeset my latest book. We’ve worked together on many books together over the years but I really think this is her best design ever.
The book is being printed overseas now but I’m so excited about Christine’s design I wanted to share a sneak peek at the cover…
And a sample of the internal pages..
Campology is the stamp set I just had to use for this card but I’ve never feel very confident making “scene” cards. I searched Pinterest for inspiration on how to use the “Campology” stamp set and I found a wonderful card by one of the top American Stampin’ Up! demonstrators called Michelle Zindorf – she is amazing at creating blended backgrounds. I have CASED elements of Michelle’s card, including the Pumpkin Pie tent, but changed the rest of the card design and layout to include more Pumpkin Pie.
Thanks to the new Stampin’ Up! blending brushes I’m no longer scared of making “scene cards”! I used blending brushes to make a night sky background with my So Saffron, Just Jade and Mossy Meadow ink pads. The secret to getting a smooth coverage is to start blending off the page and keep moving the brushes in a circular motion.
I then stamped the tent in Memento Ink onto the front layer of the card and also onto a Post-It note to mask the tent – you fussy cut around the top of the tent to create a mask that protects the tent while you stamp the trees in Mossy Meadow over the tent and on either side of the card. Once you’ve stamped the trees remove the Post It note and your tent pops into into the foreground of the scene, with the trees in the background.
The tent is coloured in with Pumpkin Pie and Mango Melody blends – I love how these colours make it look like there is a light on in the tent!
The base of the top layer was coloured in with the Basic Black Stampin’ Blends and the “Thank you” sentiment is from “Blossoms in Bloom” with the ink applied with a sponge dauber for a crisp finish – my go-to tip when inking up sentiments. My trusty Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels just add a tiny bit of bling and dimension.
The card opens at the top and the inside has been stamped in Mossy Meadow using the tall tree stamp from “Campology”. I hope this card brings a smile to Christine’s face and expresses how grateful I am to her incredible design skills that bring my writing to life!
I can’t wait to see what everyone else has created with Pumpkin Pie today!
We will return next week on Wednesday March 10th when we’ll be showcasing one of the soon to be retired 2019-21 In Colours: Purple Posy. We hope you can join us all then.
