Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Delight Cards

Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Delight Cards

Welcome to week twenty-two of our Art With Heart 2024-25 Colour Creations blog hop!

This week we’re featuring Daffodil Delight, a sunny and bright yellow from the Brights family. I’ve used the stunning Mediterranean Blooms Suite collection to make some thank you cards for my wonderful customers.

Some of the dies in the Citrus Blooms Dies die cut images from the Mediterranean Blooms DSP, however they die cut the patterns that feature oranges.

As we are featuring Daffodil Delight this week I chose to fussy cut the DSP pattern with the larger lemons that does not have a matching die. These images were very easy to fussy cut out.

I used the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the Basic White cardstock layer. This was also die cut out using the large arch die from the Garden Meadow Dies. As this arch has a very Mediterranean feel, it works really well with this suite!

The “Thanks” sentiment is from the My Small Business Stamp Set, white heat embossed onto Night of Navy cardstock. The Old Olive cardstock fronds are die cut using the loose foliage dies from the Citrus Blooms Dies.

Never waste the edge pieces of a DSP design you have fussy cut! These pieces are perfect for decorating the inside of your cards. I’ve also used up leftover strips of the other Mediterranean Blooms DSP I used on the front of the card.

The inside sentiment is also from the My Small Business Stamp Set.

These cards were sent out on the weekend and I’ve already received some lovely messages from my happy customers who loved the cards and their thank you gifts.

Now it’s time to hop in over to our next participant, the lovely Rachel Palmieri. I can’t wait to see what Rachel has made this week!

AWH Heart of Christmas Week 8

AWH Heart of Christmas Week 8

Welcome to week 8 of the Art with Heart Team Stampin’ Up! Heart of Christmas blog hop for 2024. I hope you we are continuing to inspiring you each week with our Christmas card ideas.

For this week’s Christmas card I’m featuring the beautiful vintage style Sentimental Christmas DSP. This DSP raises money for children’s literacy with $4.25 for every pack sold given to local charities around the world.

I don’t know the name of this easy fun fold, however it is a fabulous fun fold to use when you want to showcase both sides of a designer series paper. I’ve used this adorable reindeer pattern with a Pecan Pie snowflake pattern on the reverse side.

The card is basically two cards that overlap. The second card is smaller and its flap overlaps the DSP flap of the base card.

The card base is one quarter of a sheet of A4 cardstock. The DSP is adhered to the card base and has a flap on the right side that opens up. This shows the reverse side of the DSP.

Here’s what the card looks like when closed. I used a single glue dot to keep the card closed and it doesn’t tear the DSP or the cardstock when opened and closed multiple times.

Two of the Stitched Shapes circles cut out the feature piece of DSP on the front of the card. I’ve stamped a sentiment from the Peaceful Season Stamp Set in Pecan Pie along with holly from the Reindeer Fun stamp set.

Inside the card I’ve stamped another sentiment from the a sentiment from the Peaceful Season Stamp Set and some more holly.

To enable the card to stand up for display I added a piece of cardstock on the back.

This is a great design to mass produce a batch of Christmas cards. It can be made with 12″ x 12″ DSP or 6″ x 6″ DSP.

Now it’s time to hop in over to our next participant, the lovely Rachel Woollard. It’s Rachel’s birthday today and I can’t wait to see what the birthday girl has made this week!

Stampin’ Up! Crushed Curry Card

Stampin’ Up! Crushed Curry Card

Welcome to week twenty-one of our Art With Heart 2024-25 Colour Creations blog hop!

This week we’re featuring Crushed Curry, a deep yellow from the Regals family.

As I was short of time this week I reached for the Fully Flowering Ephemera Pack, the Saying Something Ephemera Pack and the Calming Creek Cards & Envelopes to make two quick cards in under ten minutes!

For both cards my colour combinations were dictated by the colours of the ephemera pieces I selected and the card bases. Card one’s colours are: Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Garden Green, a touch of Pecan Pie and Basic Gray for the card base.

I just love the vintage vibe of these ephemera pieces! I used my Crushed Curry marker to colour in the black and white bow.

A few Daffodil Delight adhesive dots from the Glossy Dots Assortment pack add the add finishing touch to the centre of the bow and around the floral bouquet.

The colour combination for card two is: Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Shy Shamrock and Basic Gray for the card base.

Once again I’ve added Daffodil Delight adhesive dots from the Glossy Dots Assortment pack as the final embellishment.

Both cards use the “It’s your birthday” sentiment from the Saying Something Ephemera Pack to create no stamping cards!

I love that these card bases have matching envelopes too!

Now it’s time to hop in over to our next participant, the lovely Amie McIllroy – I can’t wait to see what Amie has made this week!

AWH Heart of Christmas Week 7

AWH Heart of Christmas Week 7

Welcome to week 7 of the Art with Heart Team Stampin’ Up! Heart of Christmas blog hop for 2024. I hope you we are continuing to inspiring you each week with our Christmas card ideas.

For this week’s Christmas card I’ve used the brand new Decorative Trees bundle (Decorative Trees stamp set and Decorative Trees dies). The number of stunning dies in this bundle provides opportunities for so many different colour combinations and designs of cards.

I decided to use the tree outline die to die cut some of the beautiful DSP designs in Very Vanilla and gold from the Season of Green & Gold 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Specialty Designer Series Paper.

The middle tree has been heat embossed in gold using stamps from the Decorative Tree stamp set.

The Early Espresso layer is from the Country Woods 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Designer Series Paper embossed using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.

The stars on the top of the tree and the tree bases have all been die cut from gold foil.

As there is a lot of gold on the front of the card I’ve kept the inside very neutral in Early Espresso and Very Vanilla.

Now it’s time to hop in over to our next participant, the lovely Kate Morgan – I can’t wait to see what Kate has made this week!
