Day 24 of the 30-Day Christmas Card Making Challenge

Day 24 of the 30-Day Christmas Card Making Challenge

The challenge for Day 24 of the 30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge is “Naughty or Nice”.

I’ve combined the santa hat and candy cane stamps from the Stampin’ Up! “Naughty & Nice stamp set with the penguin and holly stamps from the Snowy Wonder stamp set.

I’ve blended some Garden Green ink onto a die cut snowglobe (using the Snowy Wonder dies) before adhering my playful penguins on top.

The holly DSP is from the Reindeer Days 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Designer Series Paper and the red layer under that is a Memories & More card from the Reindeer Days Memories & More Card Pack.

The “Naughty or Nice” sentiment and tag are also from the Stampin’ Up! Naughty or Nice stamp set.

I don’t usually make “cute cards” but these playful penguins with their santa hats really made me smile. Are they naughty or nice? I’ll let you decide!

I’ll be back tomorrow with another “30 Days of Christmas” Christmas card and the final AWH Heart of Christmas blog hop for 2024!

I hope you can join me then.

Day 23 of the 30-Day Christmas Card Making Challenge

Day 23 of the 30-Day Christmas Card Making Challenge

The challenge for Day 23 of the 30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge is a sketch challenge. Here is the sketch we are following.

Combining fussy cut and die cut images from the Snowy Wonder and Reindeer Fun Designer Series Papers to create a Christmas snow globe scene. The Pool Party background layer DSP is from the Nests of Winter DSP.

I love this colour combination of Pool Party, Real Red and Garden Green! If you look very closely you’ll see there’s also a touch of Early Espresso (the stick arms) and even Pumpkin Pie (the carrot nose).

The two sparkly white snowflake embellishments are die cut from the white glimmer paper in the Berry Burst, Old Olive & White 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Glimmer Specialty Paper using the Snowy wonder die cuts.

The red embellishments are Basic Rhinestone Jewels coloured using a read Red Stampin’ Blend.

I’ll be back tomorrow with another “30 Days of Christmas” Christmas card and the final AWH Heart of Christmas blog hop for 2024!

I hope you can join me then.

Day 22 of the 30-Day Christmas Card Making Challenge

Day 22 of the 30-Day Christmas Card Making Challenge

The challenge for Day 22 of the 30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge is a colour combination: Soft Lavender, Midnight Blue and Silver.

I’ve chosen Night of Navy, Fresh Freesia and Silver Foil for my Christmas card.

The Grove Dies were used to die cut night of Navy card stock to create the forest frame and to die cut the two deer from silver foil.

The background DSP with the touch of Fresh Freesia comes from the Thoughtful Journey 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) Designer Series Paper. I’ve used this stunning watercolour scene.

The silver heat embossed sentiment comes from the  Peaceful Season stamp set. I’ve only used the first half of the sentiment.

To do this I’ve covered the parts of the sentiment I don’t want to use with a Post It note, stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and then carefully removed the Post It note BEFORE stamping the sentiment onto the Night of Navy cardstock and heat embossing it.

I’ll be back tomorrow with another “30 Days of Christmas” Christmas card and the final AWH Heart of Christmas blog hop for 2024!

I hope you can join me then.

Day 21 of the 30-Day Christmas Card Making Challenge

Day 21 of the 30-Day Christmas Card Making Challenge

The challenge for Day 21 of the 30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge is “First Snowflake”.

I’ve used my favourite Christmas stamp set, Yuletide Village, the Frosted Forest dies and the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder to create this winter village scene.

The stamped images have been coloured using Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends before being fussy cut with Paper Snips.

The gorgeous “Let it Snow” sentiment is from the Sophisticated Sled Stamp Set.

I’ll be back tomorrow with another “30 Days of Christmas” Christmas card.

I hope you can join me then.

Day 20 of the 30-Day Christmas Card Making Challenge

Day 20 of the 30-Day Christmas Card Making Challenge

The challenge for Day 20 of the 30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge is a tricky one: “Ugly Sweater”.

I don’t own a sweater stamp and I live in Australia where it is hot at Christmas time so I decided to make an “Ugly Christmas rashies” card instead!

A rashie is our slang word for a rash vest, a swimming top we wear to protect our skin from the sun or from the rash you get when riding a surfboard. And yes we do wear “ugly rashies” on the beach at Christmas time!

To make my rash vests I used the Cutest Onesie Stamp Set and drew a line across the bottom of the stamp before fussy cutting them out with paper snips.

I then stamped the rashies with stamps from the Snowy Wonder Stamp set and coloured them in using Granny Apple Green and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends.

The letters are die cut using the Mini Alphabet dies. These are great for when you want to make your own sentiment.

I’ll be back tomorrow with another “30 Days of Christmas” Christmas card.

I hope you can join me then.
