Day 14 of the 30-Day Christmas Card Making Challenge

Day 14 of the 30-Day Christmas Card Making Challenge

The challenge for Day 14 of the 30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge is “Christmas Morning”.

I’m sure my Christmas beach scene is not what most people think of when they think Christmas morning!

However, I’m incredibly lucky to live in Australia at the beach and I have the most beautiful Christmas tradition of spending Christmas morning at the beach with my friends. It’s such a wonderful way to start the day. My family then do a Christmas patrol at our beach, South Curl Curl Surf Life Saving club.

To create a card that truly reflects my Christmas morning I’ve added some festive elements to a beach scene that I created using the Beach Day dies.

The palm tree has a Christmas cardinal sticker and a sprig of holly from the Reindeer Days Memories & More pack.

But my favourite festive touch would have to be the Christmas patterned surfboards, duie cut from the Reindeer Days DSP!

What does your Christmas morning look like? Is it hot like mine or cold and cosy?

I’ll be tomorrow I’ll be back tomorrow with another “30 Days of Christmas” Christmas card.

I hope you can join me then.

Stampin’ Up! Gray Granite Card

Stampin’ Up! Gray Granite Card

Welcome to week twenty-nine of our Art With Heart 2024-25 Colour Creations blog hop!

This week we’re featuring Gray Granite, a light gray with a slightly brownish hue from the Neutrals family.

I love neutrals and use them all the time, however I usually use them as a background to other colours or for when I need earth tones. To ensure I made Gray Granite the star of my card tonight I only used three colours: Gray Granite, Basic White and a tiny touch of gold.

I just can’t get enough of the Reindeer Fun bundle! I also stamped and coloured this little deer to use on another card at a later date.

I’ve stamped both of the deer image outlines in Gray Granite and coloured them in with Gray Granite light and dark Stampin’ Blends.

In my latest order I finally added the Spotlight on Nature dies to my die collection. I couldn’t resist threading the new online gold twisted thread through the decorative border holes of the die cut circle and tying the thread into a decorative bow.

Here’s a close up of the threaded die cut circle. I’ve used a tapestry needle to thread the die cut.

The trees stamped behind the deer are also stamped in Gray Granite, stamped both at full strength and stamped off once.

Now it’s time to hop in over to our next participant, the lovely Kate Morgan. I can’t wait to see what Kate has made this week!

Day 13 of the 30-Day Christmas Card Making Challenge

Day 13 of the 30-Day Christmas Card Making Challenge

The challenge for Day 13 of the 30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge is “Poinsettia Perfection”.

I’ve used the large die cut poinsettia from the A Little bit Festive DSP along with a smaller die cut poinsettia from the Joyful Images Mix & Match Ephemera Pack to make this quick and easy Christmas card.

The red striped DSP is also from the A Little bit Festive DSP.

The gold foil “Celebrate” sentiment is die cut using one of the Wanted To Say dies, with the word “Christmas” from the Greetings of the Season Stamp Set heat embossed in gold.

I’ve tucked some of the new online exclusive Gold Twisted Thread under the smaller poinsettia.

I’ll be back later tonight with the AWH Colour Creations blog hop where we will be showcasing Gray Granite.

I hope you can join me then.

Day 12 of the 30-Day Christmas Card Making Challenge

Day 12 of the 30-Day Christmas Card Making Challenge

The challenge for Day 12 of the 30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge is “Bauble Bliss”.

Although I have a current bauble bundle, I really love the retro feel of this little die cut ornament from the Festive Tags Kit so I decided to make it the focal point of my Christmas card. This kit is a great kit to use as it is for Christmas tags or to turn into cards.

My black and white striped DSP layer is from the Halloween Spells Designer Series Paper and I’ve added one of the Lost Lagoon and gold foil tags from the Festive Tags Kit.

The “O” for the word joy is the cute little bauble from the Festive Tags Kit with Alphabest die cut gold foil from the online exclusive Brushed Silver & Gold Foil Specialty Paper creating the J and the Y.

The gold embellishments decorating the bauble are also included in the Festive Tags Kit.

The double bow on the top of the ornament uses the black and white twine included in the Festive Tags Kit as well as the new online exclusive Gold Twisted Thread.

I’ll be back tomorrow with another “30 Days of Christmas” Christmas card and the AWH Colour Creations blog hop where we will be showcasing Gray Granite.

I hope you can join me then.

Stampin’ Up! Snowy Wonder Card

Stampin’ Up! Snowy Wonder Card

Heart of Christmas Header 2024 – 1

Today’s card was created for both the AWH Heart of Christmas blog hop and the 30 Days of Christmas Card Making Challenge Day 11, “Frosty’s Wonderland”.

I’ve used the Snowy Wonder bundle to CASE a card I made a few weeks ago that also used the Perennial Postage Dies to create this style of layout.

You can view my original card here.

Most of the products on this card are from the Snowy Scenes Suite Collection, including these adorable White Loose Snowflakes.

The snowflake on the top left panel is die cut from the Snowy Scenes DSP, die cut using the Snowy Wonder dies.

I love all of the little dies in the Snowy Wonder dies!

Now it’s time to hop in over to our next participant, the lovely Andrea Sargent. I can’t wait to see the project Andrea has created this week!

If the next button link is not working or you’d like to see the entire list of participants go to Sharon Davern‘s blog. Sharon does an amazing job of hosting our Heart of Christmas blog every Monday.

I’ll be back tomorrow with another “30 Days of Christmas” Christmas card, on Wednesday night with the Art with Heart Colour Creations team showcasing Grey Granite and with some more Heart of Christmas inspiration next Monday night.

I hope you can join us then!
