Welcome to week eight of our Art With Heart 2022-23 Colour Creations blog hop! This is a weekly blog hop where we showcase the stunning range of Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order over 12 months and this week we are featuring Bermuda Bay.
Since there is a “Buy One, Get One 50% Off” sale on all of the Stampin’ Up! Kits until 30 June, I couldn’t resist adding two of the adorable Robot Buddies Kids Card Kit to a recent order. The colours in this kit include Bermuda Bay, along with Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green, Night of Navy and Pumpkin Pie.
The kit contains step-by-step instructions for nine cards in three different predesigned projects, but there are so many elements that let you make and design your own cards as well.
2 Classic Stampin’ Spots in Bermuda Bay and Pumpkin Pie
9 card bases and 9 envelopes
Robot Buddies Photopolymer Stamp Set
2 printed sticker sheets
1 printed die-cut sheet
1 sheet of adhesive-backed googly eye embellishments
Enough adhesive to complete the projects
A printed box for storage or crafting on the go
Whenever I receive a kit I always make up one of each of the set designs first before I head “off grid” with my designs!.
Don’t these these robots make you smile! I just love their googly eyes.
This slimline landscape slimline card was created by adding some clouds and hearts die cut using the “Give It a Whirl” dies in Balmy Blue and Pumpkin Pie.
The Bermuda Bay grass was stamped with the Happy Hedgehogs Stamp Set onto a hand cut Granny Apple Green lawn.
And finally, this quick and easy monochrome masculine birthday card was made using the Night of Navy DSP pattern from the inside of the envelopes, spare stickers from the kit (chopped up) and the gear stamps that are included in the kit’s stamp set.
I had so much fun creating with this kit. I’m giving the second one I purchased in the BOGO 50% off sale to my niece as part of her 6th birthday present and I can’t wait to create with her.
Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Rosa Leyden – I can’t wait to see what Rosa has made this week!
If at any time you find a broken link, you can find the complete list of all participants below.
I’ll share another card I made with this kit later this week and next Wednesday we will be showcasing one of our regal Stampin’ Up! colours, Blackberry Bliss.

Welcome to week three of our 2020-2021 Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase.
Each week various members of our Art With Heart Colour Creations team will be bringing you weekly colour inspiration as we showcase our range of over 50 beautiful Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order.
Week 3 -Bermuda Bay
Bermuda Bay is part of the Brights collection of colours. It is available as a Classic Stampin’ Pad and ink refill, Stampin Blends combo pack, Watercolour Pencils pack, Stampin’ Write marker, Brights 6×6 Designer Series Paper and Artistry Blooms DSP, or you can purchase it within any of the Brights collections.
Any shade of aqua or blue is in my top ten list of colours so I took the opportunity to use both Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana, paired with Basic Black and Whisper White. It’s such a fresh combination that really reflects the beautiful beaches near where I live.
Originally I was just going to make one card but because I didn’t want to waste the leftovers from card one I used them to make card two. And then there were more leftovers from card two and it seemed a crime to waste them so I made card three.
I could have kept going, making more and more cards with leftovers but I had to stop somewhere, so here’s what I made.
All three cards use a new bundle from the 2020-21 Annual Catalogue called the Blossoms in Bloom bundle. I just love the large layered floral dies in this set, as well as the font of the sentiments and the watercolour effect of the floral stamps.
For card one I cut the top layer from Bermuda Bay card stock, the bottom layer of the flower die from Coastal Cabana card stock and layered the dies onto a Basic Black mat to make them really pop.
I had so many beautiful pieces of Bermuda Bay card stock left over from card one, I decided to use the paper piecing technique to make card two.
This time I cut the top flower layer in Basic Black and layered it straight onto a whisper white base. I glued the Bermuda Bay flower petals into the black outline of the die and then cut another top flower layer die out of Coastal Cabana to get some leaf pieces as well as the tiny flower centres.
Yes, this card did take some patience but I love the effect it gives. Here’s another close up to show you the tiny detail you can achieve with this technique. Because the pieces fit so perfectly the card has such impact!
You can probably guess the inspiration for card three?
I now had a spare Coastal Cabana top layer flower die so I decided to use just part of this die cut, layered onto the bottom layer of the flower die which I cut out of Basic Black card stock. I trimmed the Coastal Cabana top layer down so I only used the floral section of the die on my finished card.
There are so many possibilities with the Blossoms in Bloom bundle, both in terms of the range of colours you can use and the different effects you can achieve.
I can’t wait to see what the rest of the Art With Heart team have created with Bermuda Bay today.

Welcome to week 3 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop!
This week we are showcasing one of my favourite colours: Bermuda Bay.
Bermuda Bay is often paired with Pool Party (and they look amazing together) but it also really looks great when used with Lemon Lime Twist. To showcase this colour combination I’ve used something old (the Painted Harvest stamp set) and something new (the Pop of Petals bundle) for my three Bermuda Bay cards.
For the first 2 cards, I used the Painted Harvest stamp set to CASE some cards I’d seen on Pinterest, changing up the colours and the sentiments. This first card is so simple but it really showcases how well Lemon Lime Twist and Bermuda Bay go together.
Can you spot the bakers twine in the next card? I used the dark Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blend! to colour Whisper White bakers twine.
However, it’s the final card I’m most excited about…I used the new Pop of Petals bundle and I just love this stamp set and its matching punch!
If you look closely you’ll see another homemade embellishment that’s just so simple to make…I used the dark Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blend! to colour a few rhinestone basic jewels. Here’s a close-up to show you my sparkly Bermuda Bay embellishments.
Look at all the lovely little stamps there are in this stamp set! I also used another great new colour, Call Me Clover, for this card.
Bermuda Bay works with so many different colour combinations and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the Art With Heart team have come up with today.
