Welcome to week forty-five of our Art With Heart 2023-24 Colour Creations blog hop!
Our colour this week is Shaded Spruce, a rich deep blue green from the Regals family. As the Last Chance Products lists for both the The January–April 2024 Mini Catalogue and the 2023–2024 Annual Catalogue have now been released I thought I’d use a stamp set that is soon to be retired but I haven’t inked it up yet!
I’ve watercoloured Shaded Spruce and Blackberry Bliss onto Fluid 100 watercolour paper using my water painter to achieve a much softer shade. Once the watercolour paper was dry I punched out flowers and petals using the Petal Park Builder Punch. This punch will be carrying over to the new catalogue, but the stamp set will be retiring.
I love the texture all these layers in the punch give to the flowers!
I added Black Classic Matte Dots to centre of the flowers and to the rotary dial on the phone to add even more dimension!
Originally, I was planning on making a vertical card, however I changed my mind after I had adhered my layer of embossed Basic White card stock so the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder is actually the wrong way around, but hopefully no-one will notice, LOL!
Leftover flowers and leaves decorated the inside of the card.
Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Rachel Palmieri. I can’t wait to see what Rachel has made this week!

Welcome to week 42 of our 2021-22 Colour Creations blog hop! Tonight we are showcasing Shaded Spruce from the Regals family.
Have you ever looked at the index of bundles at the back of the Stampin’ Up! catalogues? They are filled with some wonderful card ideas and I often forget to look at them, but this week I’ve CASED the Cactus Cuties bundle card from the back of the January – June Mini Catalogue. I loved the way the background had been created using strips of DSP and cardstock, as well as the fresh vibrant mix of greens and pinks. This is the colour combination I’ve used for my card.
To make the striped background I simply layered 3/4 inch strips of DSP and card stock onto a card base covered in Stampin’ Seal. Both DSP patterns are from the Pattern Party DSP and the strips of cardstock are Shaded Spruce, Just Jade, Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo.
My cactus layer is a mix of stamping directly onto the Basic White layer, stamping and fussy cutting or using the Cactus builder punch to punch out the shapes. I love the slightly retro feel of the images, type fonts and shapes in the Cactus Cuties bundle…for me it evokes those mid-century houses in LA with their incredible cactus gardens.
This is such a fun and versatile bundle for making both male and female cards using all kinds of colours. I’ve stamped the cactus on the left in Mint Macaron with Blushing Bride flowers and popped it into a punched out Shaded Spruce pot. The cactus on the right is stamped in Shaded Spruce and punched out with a Flirty Flamingo pot that is fussy cut using Paper Snips.
The “Just a Note” sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and a few “Sequins for Everything” add a touch of sparkle to my Cactus Cuties card.
Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Kate Morgan – I can’t wait to see what Kate has made this week!

Welcome back to our Colour Creations Showcase as we continue our showcase of over 50 beautiful Stampin’ Up! colours in alpha order.
This week we are showcasing Shaded Spruce, a dark green colour from our Regals Family.
This is our last Colour Creations Showcase before the 2020-21 Annual Catalogue retires so I’m using some of my retiring favourites for this card: the Subtles Embossing folder, the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set and the Winter Woods stamp set.
I can’t take credit for the basic design of this card as I’ve CASED it from a beautiful Christmas card made by an overseas Stampin’ Up! demonstrator called Theresa McEntee. However, I felt April was was just a tad early to start making Christmas Cards so I’ve changed the sentiment and some elements of Theresa’s design to make a masculine birthday card instead.
If you don’t already have the Winter Woods stamp set it’s one I definitely recommend adding to your collection for simple stamping and for masculine cards. Although this stamp set only has a Christmas sentiment, I turned it into a birthday card by simply using a “happy birthday” sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set.
Can you see the lovely texture I’ve added to the stamped front panel using the subtle embossing folder? If you want to try this technique don’t forget to always stamp first and then emboss afterwards.
I love the colour combination of Shaded Spruce with Soft Sea Foam. Although they are the darkest and the lightest greens in the Stampin’ Up colour range they work really well together. All of the trees have been stamped in Shaded Spruce but I’ve “stamped off” some of the trees to create depth in my forest.
I can’t wait to see what everyone else has created with Shaded Spruce today!

I’ve been following the beautiful creations of the CASEing the Catty team for a while and I decided to finally join in this week for the CTC380 challenge, which is CASEing the cover of the August – December 2020 Mini Catalogue.
There are so many beautiful cards on this cover but in the end I decided to CASE the “Seasons Greetings” card which is on the top left of the cover. I just love that little deer standing proud in amongst the trees.
I don’t have the “In the Pines” bundle yet so I used the Winter Woods and the Rooted in Nature stamp sets (with their matching dies) and the snow globe dies instead.
Slimline cards are all the rage ATM which is why I made my scene horizontal rather than the original vertical. I also switched out the gold for silver, which I personally prefer with Shaded Spruce.
These gorgeous new ribbons are both from the the August – December 2020 Mini Catalogue. The Shaded Spruce Argyle Satin ribbon comes in the “Wonder of the Season” Ribbon Combo pack and I’ve layered it on top of the Silver Metallic Mesh Ribbon.
My deer is die cut from silver foil using the Snow Globe Scenes dies.
And the “Season’s Greetings” sentiment is from the coordinating Still Scenes stamp set.

Welcome to week 45 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop!
Our colour this week is a very dark regal colour: Shaded Spruce.
Stampin’ Up has some lovely Designer Series Papers that feature Shaded Spruce and I used two of these for my card today: Garden Impressions and Tropical Escape DSP.
My card uses a mix of die cutting and fussy cutting.
I stamped my birds in black ink onto the Garden Impressions DSP before die cutting them out. The branch they sit on has been die cut from the Wood Textures DSP.
The pink roses have been fussy cut from the Garden Impressions DSP, but the leaves have been die cut from the Tropical Escape DSP.
The card base is Shaded Spruce card stock topped with a rectangle of striped paper from the Tropical Escape DSP.

Welcome to week 21 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop!
This week we are showcasing one of the Brights: Granny Apple Green.
I really love this vibrant, fresh colour as well as the stamp set I used on my card today: Seasoned With Kindness. Seasoned With Kindness is a hostess stamp, found right at the back of the catalogue.
The is such a fun set to use because you can colour in the images or use the two-step stamping with the stamps provided like I did on my card, lining images up with my Stamparatus.
Can you guess what colour I used with the Granny Apple Green to stamp the plants? It’s Shaded Spruce…isn’t this a great colour combination?
The little pots my plants sit in are stamped in Gray Granite and Basic Black Ink onto Gray Granite cardstock, fussy cut with my snips, mounted onto the cardstock with mini dimensionals and then topped with a bow of Linen Thread. How cute is that darling little tag ♥!
I mounted my stamped image onto some Shaded Spruce cardstock and then onto a piece of Granny Smith Green I embossed with the Climbing Vine embossing folder.
