Welcome back to our Colour Creations Showcase as we continue our showcase of over 50 beautiful Stampin’ Up! colours in alpha order.
This week we are showcasing Pumpkin Pie, a rich orange from our regals family.
I wanted to make a thank you card for my amazing designer Christine who has just designed and typeset my latest book. We’ve worked together on many books together over the years but I really think this is her best design ever.
The book is being printed overseas now but I’m so excited about Christine’s design I wanted to share a sneak peek at the cover…
And a sample of the internal pages..
Campology is the stamp set I just had to use for this card but I’ve never feel very confident making “scene” cards. I searched Pinterest for inspiration on how to use the “Campology” stamp set and I found a wonderful card by one of the top American Stampin’ Up! demonstrators called Michelle Zindorf – she is amazing at creating blended backgrounds. I have CASED elements of Michelle’s card, including the Pumpkin Pie tent, but changed the rest of the card design and layout to include more Pumpkin Pie.
Thanks to the new Stampin’ Up! blending brushes I’m no longer scared of making “scene cards”! I used blending brushes to make a night sky background with my So Saffron, Just Jade and Mossy Meadow ink pads. The secret to getting a smooth coverage is to start blending off the page and keep moving the brushes in a circular motion.
I then stamped the tent in Memento Ink onto the front layer of the card and also onto a Post-It note to mask the tent – you fussy cut around the top of the tent to create a mask that protects the tent while you stamp the trees in Mossy Meadow over the tent and on either side of the card. Once you’ve stamped the trees remove the Post It note and your tent pops into into the foreground of the scene, with the trees in the background.
The tent is coloured in with Pumpkin Pie and Mango Melody blends – I love how these colours make it look like there is a light on in the tent!
The base of the top layer was coloured in with the Basic Black Stampin’ Blends and the “Thank you” sentiment is from “Blossoms in Bloom” with the ink applied with a sponge dauber for a crisp finish – my go-to tip when inking up sentiments. My trusty Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels just add a tiny bit of bling and dimension.
The card opens at the top and the inside has been stamped in Mossy Meadow using the tall tree stamp from “Campology”. I hope this card brings a smile to Christine’s face and expresses how grateful I am to her incredible design skills that bring my writing to life!
I can’t wait to see what everyone else has created with Pumpkin Pie today!
We will return next week on Wednesday March 10th when we’ll be showcasing one of the soon to be retired 2019-21 In Colours: Purple Posy. We hope you can join us all then.

Welcome back to our Colour Creations Showcase as we continue our showcase of over 50 beautiful Stampin’ Up! colours in alpha order.
This week we are showcasing Pretty Peacock, a deep teal/turquoise blue/green which is one of the soon to be retired 2019-21 InColours.
I don’t know about you, but I love succulents because they are so sculptural, come in amazing colours and shapes, are hard to kill, easy to propagate…and they survive and flourish where other plants don’t.
Plants can be tricky to grow at my home because it sits high on a hill near the sea, with the front of the house facing south and our back garden facing north. Our backyard is flooded with sun year round and at the front of the house southerly winds whip up the hill in the afternoons.
These plants at my front entrance have to survive both the strong salty southerlies AND the hot northern sun streaming through the glass.
On my back deck the only plants that survive the year-round northern sun are my succulents – please excuse the spider webs, it is constant battle!
If you love succulents like I do, the simply succulents bundle from the January-June 2021 mini catalogue is a must have! Take a closer look at the dies – not only are there co-ordinating dies to cut out the pot and the three succulent stamps, but there are also dies for two other succulents (LOVE the hanging succulent), four stitched label dies and an enormous background succulent die!
I was trying to work out how to make a card that reflected the different heights my succulents sit at both on my back deck and my front door, and I realised a side step card was the answer.
I couldn’t find a template for a side step card that worked with our paper sizes here in Australia, so I created one that gives you 2 cards bases from one sheet of A4 card stock.
Making a side step card is quite simple – there is only one single cut and a few folds. One sheet of A4 paper is enough for 2 card bases, each measuring 14.8cm x 21cm each. Use your paper trimmer to cut your A4 card stock in half and then cut and score as per the template below.
Measure in 8cm from the left on the 14.8cm side of your card base and draw a pencil line from top to bottom.
Along this line measure down 4.5cm from the top of the card stock and measure up 2.5cm from the base of the card stock. The solid line in between these 2 measurements is your only cutting line for this card- I’ve marked this as a solid black line in my template.
Cut along this solid line, being very carful not to cut above or below this line.
All the other dotted lines are fold lines – measure and score these with your paper trimmer.
Once you’ve scored these lines, rub out the pencil mark along your cut line and fold the score lines so the folds of your card look like this.
I’ve used a lot of different coloured Stampin’ Blends for my succulents, including light and dark Pretty Peacock, Just Jade, Mint Macaron, Old Olive, Granny Apple Green and Highland Heather. The terracotta pots are coloured with Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blends.
For the trailing succulents in the middle pot I die cut one from Pretty Peacock card stock and two in Basic White card stock. I used my dark and light Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends to colour the Basic White card stock. You can see in the picture below how this gives three different shades of Pretty Peacock.
The succulent on the back right hand side of the card was coloured by blending together Old Olive and light Pretty Peacock. I love this spiky succulent!
The “happy birthday” sentiment is from the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set, stamped in Versamark ink and then white heat embossed onto Pretty Peacock card stock. This sentiment perfectly fits into one of the stitched label dies from the Simply Succulent Bundle.
The final touches are a double bow of linen thread and a few stamped and coloured succulents to decorate a Basic White C6 envelope. I traced around another die from this bundle to create an address border on the front of the envelope.
I didn’t forget the back of the envelope either!
I can’t wait to see what the rest of the Art With Heart team have created with Pretty Peacock today. Click on the links below to see what they’ve made.

Welcome back to our Colour Creations Showcase as we continue our showcase of over 50 beautiful Stampin’ Up! colours in alpha order.
This week we are showcasing Poppy Parade, a very bright and happy red!
If you’ve got a “thing” for black and white paper like I do, you’re going to love, love, love this True Love DSP. It’s so very versatile because you can use it for backgrounds, colour it in different ways or fussy cut the flowers to use on your cards or scrapbook layouts.
And the back and white patterns just makes any colour pop!
The colour scheme I’ve used today is such a classic: Poppy Parade, black and white…with just a touch of another bright: Granny Apple Green.
The beautiful red flowers were coloured in with Stampin’ Blends: Poppy Parade for the petals, Granny Apple Green for the leaves, oh, and I nearly forgot the centre of the flowers…Daffodil Delight.
The detail on these flowers in the True Love Designer Series Paper make them so easy to colour and shade – just follow the lines!
The sentiment is from the matching stamp set: “Forever & Always”. After stamping the “Love” stamp I fussy cut it out only to remember I actually own the co-ordinating “Always” dies!!! Duh!!!!
Instead of adding a swirl of the Forever Greenery gold trim behind the “you so very much sentiment” I die cut it using the long rectangle die from the Field Tiles Dies. I then used a needle to thread the gold trim through the holes and then tie a bow, which is secured with a gilded gem.
I really like this effect and must remember to use it again.
I can’t wait to see what the rest of the Art With Heart team have created with Poppy Parade today. Click on the links below to see what they’ve made.

Welcome back to our Colour Creations Showcase as we continue our showcase of over 50 beautiful Stampin’ Up! colours in alpha order.
This week we are showcasing Pool Party, one of my favourite colours.
It was only after I finished my card that I realised my colour scheme has combined Pool Party with the next two colours in our Colour Creations showcase: Poppy Parade and Pretty Peacock. I love these colours together – it’s quite a retro colour combination and I think it reminds me of illustrations in a book that I had as a child.
Ever used one of the Stampin’ Up! “Reversibles” stamp sets? These stamp sets make for quick and easy cards AND they are so fun to use!
Today I’m using a new Reversibles stamp set from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue called Back to Back Blooms. With “Reversibles” you can stamp with both sides of the stamp – one side has the detailed outline image and the other side gives you a solid stamp to add a block of colour.
With the Back to Blooms stamp set the reverse side of the stamp does not perfectly align with the outline side of the stamp, but I personally really like this offset look. However, other “Reversibles” stamp sets, such as “Jar of Flowers”, do align because the reversible stamps are symmetrical.
If you don’t like this offset look, you can simply stamp the outline side of the stamps and then colour these line images in with your watercolour pencils, Stampin’ Blends, markers or even using your water painters or blender pen with your ink pads.
My slimline card was super easy to make – I simply stamped the outline stamps in Tuxedo Memento Black, flipped the stamp over and then I offset stamped in Pool Party, Poppy Parade (stamped off once) and Pretty Peacock (stamped off once).
To show you how you can use the outline stamp in this set and then colour in for a neater look, on the inside panel of my card below I’ve coloured the images with my Stampin’ Blends (instead of using the reverse side of the stamp to stamp the colour).
To finish the front of my slimline card off I used Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels in Cherry Cobbler and Coastal Cabana in the centre of my flowers. I find these Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels so incredibly versatile – the colours always seem to perfectly match whatever red, green, yellow, orange or yellow I use them with.
The Happy Birthday sentiment is from another new stamp set called “In Bloom” that I’ve stamped in Versamark and then heat embossed in white.
I wonder what look you prefer with this stamp set? Is it the water coloured offset look of reverse stamping on the front of my card or the more precisely coloured look of the inside flowers coloured using the blends?
Either way, I think you’ll probably agree that this is such a versatile and beautiful stamp set!
I can’t wait to see what the rest of the Art With Heart team have created with Pool Party today. Click on the links below to see what they’ve made.

Welcome back to our Colour Creations Showcase as we continue our showcase of over 50 beautiful Stampin’ Up! colours in alpha order.
This week we are showcasing the lightest pink in the Stampin’ Up! colour range, Petal Pink.
I’ve used products from the Fine Art Floral suite today, as well as the the Blushing Bride and Whisper White twine that comes in the Snail Mail Twine combo pack.
After showcasing Pear Pizzazz last week I realised it was a colour I have overlooked and neglected so I’ve included it in my colour palette today, along with Basic White, Crumb Cake, Flirty Flamingo, and of course, our colour of the week, Petal Pink.
I love the two-step stamping of the flowers in the Art Gallery stamp set – there are so many different colour combinations and looks you can achieve with the two-step stamping stamps and even the single step stamps in this set give you such a wonderful water coloured effect. They really make you look like an artist!!!
Did you notice the stunning Basic White embossed card stock layer on the Crumb Cake card on the left? This is a new embossing folder called painted texture 3D embossing folder. It really does look like paint!
I used the marker technique on this card because this floral image is single step stamping. Even though the Art Gallery stamp set is photopolymer you can still colour different sections with your markers to stamp in multiple colours on the one stamp.
Under the floral image is another beautiful product from the Fine Art Floral Suite – Golden Garden Specially Acetate Sheet. The image on this acetate is gold on one side and silver on the other. I’ve used the gold side on this card – here’s a closer look at the pattern.
On the other card I’ve flipped the acetate over to the silver side and the Basic White card stock layer is embossed using the Tin Tile embossing folder which matches the pattern on the acetate really well.
The large floral image is two step stamping and all of these floral images have been die cut out using the co-ordinating Floral Gallery Dies.
The “Happy Birthday” sentiment and the die I’ve used to cut it out are also from the Art Gallery Bundle.
I can’t wait to see what the rest of the Art With Heart team have created with Petal Pink today. Click on the links below to see what they’ve made.

Today I’m sharing a project I made for the Creative Eight Tutorial group. This is the January bundle I am sharing with you today – I have to admit that I actually didn’t realise February had already started! We were all running a little late last month with our tutorials while getting back into the swing of things after a crazy December so please forgive my tardiness with sharing this with you.
Each month Creative Eight Tutorial group has a theme that we all create a project for. This month we are all using FREE products from the 2021 SALE a-bration! Catalogue that finishes at the end of February.
Here’s a sneak peek at all eight projects.
The project I created for this tutorial is a never ending infinity card.
There’s a story behind why I decided to create this never ending infinity card tutorial. If you’ve ever tired to make an infinity card before you’ll know that one of the trickiest things can be knowing which panels you can place your sentiments on so they appear the right way no matter which way your card is folded.
I actually had to remake this card four times because I couldn’t find a tutorial anywhere that told me how to do this. So, if you’re like me and you’d like to get it right the first time, not on the fourth attempt!, this tutorial is for you. That’s right, I’ve done all the hard work for you because my tutorial explains exactly how to get your sentiments right way up for ANY sized infinity card!
The stunning Designer Series Paper I’ve used for this card is called Berry Delightful and comes in a bundle with the Berry Blessings stamp set, which I used for the sentiments on the infinity card. You can earn this amazing bundle for FREE during SALE-a-bration if you spend over $180 in a single order.
This tutorial and the seven other amazing projects in the Creative Eight Wow bundle is available now for for Australian customers FREE with any purchase over $50 in my online store. Or, if you live overseas (or in Australia if you prefer to purchase the bundle ) it is available here to purchase for $12.
If you’d like me to post you your very own copy of the January – June 2020 mini catalogue, the 2020 Sale-a-bration catalogue, the 2020-21 Stampin Up! Annual Catalogue, the 2020-21 Beginners Brochure, or to simply find out about more about Stampin’ Up! contact me.

Welcome back to our Colour Creations Showcase as we continue our showcase of over 50 beautiful Stampin’ Up! colours in alpha order.
This week we are showcasing Pear Pizzazz, a light to mid shade of green from our subtles family.
My three cards use the Forever Fern stamp set and the acrylic block stamping technique – one of my favourite techniques because it is so easy and it’s a fast way to create water-coloured looking backgrounds.
All you need for this technique are acrylic blocks, a Stampin’ Spritzer and the ink pad of your choice of colour. I used acrylic blocks sized D, H and C (left to right in the photo below).
My colour combination was inspired by the mix of colours in the beautiful Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper that co-ordinates with the Forever Fern stamp set – I also added a touch of my favourite neutral, Crumb Cake.
Although Pear Pizzazz is probably my least used green, I really love how it looks when it is used beside these other greens and blue greens. Because Pear Pizzazz has a yellow undertone, Crumb Cake is my preferred neutral to use with this colour.
To create the Pear Pizzazz background you simply ink up your acrylic block by stamping it directly onto your ink pad, mist it with a spray of water from your Stampin’ Spritzer and then press firmly into the Basic White card stock.
You can create beautiful water coloured backgrounds by pressing your acrylic block into several different colour ink pads but because I was stamping with multiple colours I simply used one colour for all three backgrounds today.
With this technique I prefer to either chose to use one colour for the background and then stamp over the top in multiple colours OR I create a multicolour background first and then use just one colour to stamp over the top.
My “Hello” card has a Shaded Spruce card stock base (20 x 13.5 cm) scored and folded in half, topped with Pear Pizzazz card stock layer (9.5 x 13 cm) and a stamped Basic White layer (9 x 12.5cm). The acrylic block I used to create the Pear Pizzazz background is size C.
The Forever Fern stamp set has a great splatter stamp and I inked up this stamp and the “Hello” sentiment in Crumb Cake before finishing my card with a simple bow of braided linen thread.
I used acrylic block size D for my next card on a Pretty Peacock card stock base (28 x 10 cm) that folds at the top. The Pear Pizzazz card stock middle layer is 13.5 x 9.5 cm and the stamped Basic White layer measures 9 x 9 cm.
This time I stamped and layered the sentiment separately to the main image using the stitched rectangle dies and I finished the card off with a double bow of linen thread.
Card number three uses acrylic block H on a Garden Green card stock base (half an A4 sheet, scored and folded at the top) with a middle layer of Pear Pizzazz, but this time I embossed the stamped Basic White layer with the Subtle embossing folder (after stamping).
The sentiment is die cut out using a stitched square and attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals and I also added a bow of braided linen thread and some Shaded Spruce embellishments from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
I can’t wait to see what the rest of the Art With Heart team have created with Pear Pizzazz today. Click on the links below to see what they’ve made.

Welcome to the Monthly Art With Heart Creative Showcase. Tonight we’re sharing some ideas for cards that projects using J2J mini (AKA the January – June 2021 Mini Catalogue) and SALE-a-bration products.
Yesterday shared with you a card I made using one of the SALE-a-bration items I earned for FREE by placing an order over $180 – the Berry Blessings Stamp Set & Berry Delightful DSP bundle. This Berry Delightful DSP is just stunning – there’s not a sheet in this DSP pack that I don’t love!
I have to admit that I initially overlooked the Sweet Strawberry Bundle in the January – June 2020 mini catalogue, but when I realised how well it co-ordinated with the Berry Blessings bundle I just had to get it too.
Because the Berry Blessings bundle is a FREE SALE-a-bration item you technically get both these bundles (if your order is over $180) for just $55.75!!!
My favourite thing about these two bundles together is that the Strawberry builder punch punches out images from the Berry Delightful DSP, which is why I decided to make a card today that showcases these punched pieces on both the front and the inside of the card.
Here’s the front of the card.
But it’s inside the card where the magic really happens because there is a pop-up wreath inside!
The large strawberry patterned DSP on the front of this card is the sheet you can use to punch out three shapes using the Strawberry Builder Punch: the strawberry, the blossom and the leaf.
And these three images are in different colours so you can punch out a variety of images with the one punch – it’s so cool!
This co-ordination with the punch and the DSP made this card so easy to make. For the front of the card I used my subtle embossing folder to emboss the DSP before layering it on top of a layer of Basic White and adding a layered sentiment from the Sweet Strawberry Stamp set.
Here’s a close up of the punched out blossoms and leaf that decorate my sentiment.
My pop up wreath card looks a lot harder to make than it actually is thanks to two simple folds in the white card stock layer and a simple wreath made using the Strawberry Builder punch.
Always turn your punch upside down when punching out images and if you want to get more punched images out of this DSP use your paper snips to firstly cut the images apart. Then attach a post-it note to the reverse side of the cut out DSP image and use it as a holder while you punch the images out.
The wreath pieces were layered on a circle of Basic White, cut out with the largest layering circle die. I stamped the sentiment from the Berry Blessings Stamp set in the middle of the circle before arranging and adhering my wreath pieces.
I also decorated the top of the inside of the card using leftover punched leaves, blossoms and a strawberry. Because the Strawberry Builder punch cuts off the top of the strawberry I fussy cut a strawberry top from the DSP and glued it on top of the punched out shape.
The great thing about this fancy fold pop-up wreath card is that is closes flat to pop in an envelope, it sits up open to display the wreath and it also lies flat when fully opened.

Welcome back to our Colour Creations Showcase as we continue our showcase of over 50 beautiful Stampin’ Up! colours in alpha order.
This week we are showcasing Pacific Point, a lovely vibrant blue from our brights family.
Week 32 – Pacific Point
Hands up if you have ever bought an entire pack of Designer Series Paper because you just had to have one of the designs?
As soon as I saw the Berry Blessings Stamp Set & Berry Delightful DSP bundle in the SALE-a-bration catalogue my eye was immediately drawn to this beautiful sheet of DSP, blueberry patterned on one side with a fresh blue check on the other side.
And even better still, because the Berry Blessings Stamp Set & Berry Delightful DSP is one of the SALE-a-bration items I earned this bundle for FREE by placing an order of over $180 – not hard to do with all the lovely new products in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue!
The colour scheme for my card today is a lovely fresh mix of the different blues and greens in this DSP. Doesn’t Pacific Point look amazing alongside Night of Navy and Balmy Blue?
I’m not sure what to call this type of card – maybe a “fancy fold belly band” card?
Whatever you call it, I promise you that fancy folds don’t get any easier than this card. Simply take a 25 x 10cm rectangle of Night of Navy card stock and score along the longest side at 10cm. Fold this flap over – this is the front of your card. I decorated my front flap with a 9 x 9cm square of the berry DSP, layered on top of a 9.5 x 9.5cm layer of Whisper White card stock.
The inside of the card is decorated with another 9.5 x 9.5cm layer of Whisper White card stock, stamped with a berry and leaf stamp from the Berry Blessings stamp set and a “birthday” sentiment.
I used the recently retired envelope dies to die cut a piece of the berry DSP to decorate the back of my envelope but if you don’t have these envelope dies you can simply trace around the back of your envelope flap and cut the DSP out with your paper snips.
The other panel on the right hand side of the card uses the reverse side of the berry DSP, cut to 4 x 9 cm and layered on top of a piece of 4.5 x 9.5 cm Whisper White card stock.
To make the belly band I trimmed a 1.5cm wide strip off the longest side of an A4 sheet of Pacific Point card stock. I wrapped it around the card and adhered it behind the “wishing you the berry best” sentiment.
The pretty little flowers on my belly band are punched out from another sheet of DSP in the Berry Delightful DSP pack using the Strawberry Builder punch from the co-ordinating Sweet Strawberry Bundle with a Blue Adhesive-Backed Gem in the centre of each flower.
The strawberry builder punch not only punches out the stamps in the co-ordinating Sweet Strawberry stamp set, it also punches out the blossoms, the leaves and the strawberries from one of the sheets in the Berry Delightful DSP – how cool is that!
I didn’t forget to decorate the front of my envelope – the berry stamps in the Berry Blessings stamp set match this DSP perfectly!
I can’t wait to see what the rest of the Art With Heart team have created with Pacific Point today. Click on the links below to see what they’ve made.
We will return next year on Wednesday January 27th when we’ll be showcasing one of the Subtles: Pear Pizzaz. We hope you can join us all then.

Welcome back to our Colour Creations Showcase as we continue our showcase of over 50 beautiful Stampin’ Up! colours in alpha order. This week we are showcasing Old Olive, a fabulous green that is so versatile I actually use it like a neutral because it really pairs extremely well with any colour you combine it with.
For my cards today I’ve used elements from a brand new all inclusive card kit called Hello Dear Friend. Earlier this week I shared some other cards I made using the Hello Dear Friend Card Kit and today I have three more to share with you.
These three cards were inspired by one of the smaller card designs from the Hello Dear Friend Card Kit.
I loved how the stripes looked behind the yellow rose on this card, so I decided to pair the leftover die cuts with the black and white striped paper from the True Love Designer Series Paper.
You get everything you need in this kit to create 12 cards with matching envelopes…but you can make plenty more with this kit using the leftover die cuts and the stamp set, acrylic block and ink spot that are all included in the kit.
Because I used the leftover rose and leaf die cuts from this card kit with the black and white True Love Designer Series paper (both from the new January to June Mini Catalogue) my colour combination is Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Basic Black and Whisper White.
On my first card I intended to make a wreath with the die cut elements but halfway through adhering the die cuts around the sentiment I decided to create a spray of flowers instead.
By creating a spray instead of a wreath I had plenty room to add a bow of the black and white twine from the Playful Pets trim combo pack.
It also meant I now had some extra die cuts left over that I could use to create a thank you card .
This time I ran the DSP through my subtle embossing folder – it’s hard to see in this photo but it adds such a lovely texture in real life.
You might have noticed the stamped panel behind the “thank you” sentiment on the card above? It’s actually an off cut I didn’t want to waste after stamping the front panel for my third card below.
I stamped this panel using just two of the stamps in the stamp set included in this card kit. Here’s a close up of the stamps you get in this set as the photo of them in the catalogue is very small.
Running this stamped layer through the subtle embossing folder made all the difference to this card. All I had to do was add a bow of the Playful Pets bakers twine and die cut the “Just a Little note” sentiment using one of the Tasteful Label Dies before attaching to my card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
