Today I’m sharing a project I made for the Creative Eight Tutorial group. This is the January bundle I am sharing with you today – I have to admit that I actually didn’t realise February had already started! We were all running a little late last month with our tutorials while getting back into the swing of things after a crazy December so please forgive my tardiness with sharing this with you.
Each month Creative Eight Tutorial group has a theme that we all create a project for. This month we are all using FREE products from the 2021 SALE a-bration! Catalogue that finishes at the end of February.
Here’s a sneak peek at all eight projects.
The project I created for this tutorial is a never ending infinity card.
There’s a story behind why I decided to create this never ending infinity card tutorial. If you’ve ever tired to make an infinity card before you’ll know that one of the trickiest things can be knowing which panels you can place your sentiments on so they appear the right way no matter which way your card is folded.
I actually had to remake this card four times because I couldn’t find a tutorial anywhere that told me how to do this. So, if you’re like me and you’d like to get it right the first time, not on the fourth attempt!, this tutorial is for you. That’s right, I’ve done all the hard work for you because my tutorial explains exactly how to get your sentiments right way up for ANY sized infinity card!

Welcome back to our Colour Creations Showcase as we continue our showcase of over 50 beautiful Stampin’ Up! colours in alpha order.
This week we are showcasing Pear Pizzazz, a light to mid shade of green from our subtles family.
My three cards use the Forever Fern stamp set and the acrylic block stamping technique – one of my favourite techniques because it is so easy and it’s a fast way to create water-coloured looking backgrounds.
All you need for this technique are acrylic blocks, a Stampin’ Spritzer and the ink pad of your choice of colour. I used acrylic blocks sized D, H and C (left to right in the photo below).
My colour combination was inspired by the mix of colours in the beautiful Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper that co-ordinates with the Forever Fern stamp set – I also added a touch of my favourite neutral, Crumb Cake.
Although Pear Pizzazz is probably my least used green, I really love how it looks when it is used beside these other greens and blue greens. Because Pear Pizzazz has a yellow undertone, Crumb Cake is my preferred neutral to use with this colour.
To create the Pear Pizzazz background you simply ink up your acrylic block by stamping it directly onto your ink pad, mist it with a spray of water from your Stampin’ Spritzer and then press firmly into the Basic White card stock.
You can create beautiful water coloured backgrounds by pressing your acrylic block into several different colour ink pads but because I was stamping with multiple colours I simply used one colour for all three backgrounds today.
With this technique I prefer to either chose to use one colour for the background and then stamp over the top in multiple colours OR I create a multicolour background first and then use just one colour to stamp over the top.
My “Hello” card has a Shaded Spruce card stock base (20 x 13.5 cm) scored and folded in half, topped with Pear Pizzazz card stock layer (9.5 x 13 cm) and a stamped Basic White layer (9 x 12.5cm). The acrylic block I used to create the Pear Pizzazz background is size C.
The Forever Fern stamp set has a great splatter stamp and I inked up this stamp and the “Hello” sentiment in Crumb Cake before finishing my card with a simple bow of braided linen thread.
I used acrylic block size D for my next card on a Pretty Peacock card stock base (28 x 10 cm) that folds at the top. The Pear Pizzazz card stock middle layer is 13.5 x 9.5 cm and the stamped Basic White layer measures 9 x 9 cm.
This time I stamped and layered the sentiment separately to the main image using the stitched rectangle dies and I finished the card off with a double bow of linen thread.
Card number three uses acrylic block H on a Garden Green card stock base (half an A4 sheet, scored and folded at the top) with a middle layer of Pear Pizzazz, but this time I embossed the stamped Basic White layer with the Subtle embossing folder (after stamping).
The sentiment is die cut out using a stitched square and attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals and I also added a bow of braided linen thread and some Shaded Spruce embellishments from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Welcome to the Monthly Art With Heart Creative Showcase. Tonight we’re sharing some ideas for cards that projects using J2J mini (AKA the January – June 2021 Mini Catalogue) and SALE-a-bration products.
Yesterday shared with you a card I made using one of the SALE-a-bration items I earned for FREE by placing an order over $180 – the Berry Blessings Stamp Set & Berry Delightful DSP bundle. This Berry Delightful DSP is just stunning – there’s not a sheet in this DSP pack that I don’t love!
I have to admit that I initially overlooked the Sweet Strawberry Bundle in the January – June 2020 mini catalogue, but when I realised how well it co-ordinated with the Berry Blessings bundle I just had to get it too.

My favourite thing about these two bundles together is that the Strawberry builder punch punches out images from the Berry Delightful DSP, which is why I decided to make a card today that showcases these punched pieces on both the front and the inside of the card.
Here’s the front of the card.
But it’s inside the card where the magic really happens because there is a pop-up wreath inside!
The large strawberry patterned DSP on the front of this card is the sheet you can use to punch out three shapes using the Strawberry Builder Punch: the strawberry, the blossom and the leaf.
And these three images are in different colours so you can punch out a variety of images with the one punch – it’s so cool!
This co-ordination with the punch and the DSP made this card so easy to make. For the front of the card I used my subtle embossing folder to emboss the DSP before layering it on top of a layer of Basic White and adding a layered sentiment from the Sweet Strawberry Stamp set.
Here’s a close up of the punched out blossoms and leaf that decorate my sentiment.
My pop up wreath card looks a lot harder to make than it actually is thanks to two simple folds in the white card stock layer and a simple wreath made using the Strawberry Builder punch.
Always turn your punch upside down when punching out images and if you want to get more punched images out of this DSP use your paper snips to firstly cut the images apart. Then attach a post-it note to the reverse side of the cut out DSP image and use it as a holder while you punch the images out.
The wreath pieces were layered on a circle of Basic White, cut out with the largest layering circle die. I stamped the sentiment from the Berry Blessings Stamp set in the middle of the circle before arranging and adhering my wreath pieces.
I also decorated the top of the inside of the card using leftover punched leaves, blossoms and a strawberry. Because the Strawberry Builder punch cuts off the top of the strawberry I fussy cut a strawberry top from the DSP and glued it on top of the punched out shape.
The great thing about this fancy fold pop-up wreath card is that is closes flat to pop in an envelope, it sits up open to display the wreath and it also lies flat when fully opened.

Week 32 – Pacific Point
Hands up if you have ever bought an entire pack of Designer Series Paper because you just had to have one of the designs?
As soon as I saw the Berry Blessings Stamp Set & Berry Delightful DSP bundle in the SALE-a-bration catalogue my eye was immediately drawn to this beautiful sheet of DSP, blueberry patterned on one side with a fresh blue check on the other side.
And even better still, because the Berry Blessings Stamp Set & Berry Delightful DSP is one of the SALE-a-bration items I earned this bundle for FREE by placing an order of over $180 – not hard to do with all the lovely new products in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue!
The colour scheme for my card today is a lovely fresh mix of the different blues and greens in this DSP. Doesn’t Pacific Point look amazing alongside Night of Navy and Balmy Blue?
I’m not sure what to call this type of card – maybe a “fancy fold belly band” card?
Whatever you call it, I promise you that fancy folds don’t get any easier than this card. Simply take a 25 x 10cm rectangle of Night of Navy card stock and score along the longest side at 10cm. Fold this flap over – this is the front of your card. I decorated my front flap with a 9 x 9cm square of the berry DSP, layered on top of a 9.5 x 9.5cm layer of Whisper White card stock.
The inside of the card is decorated with another 9.5 x 9.5cm layer of Whisper White card stock, stamped with a berry and leaf stamp from the Berry Blessings stamp set and a “birthday” sentiment.
I used the recently retired envelope dies to die cut a piece of the berry DSP to decorate the back of my envelope but if you don’t have these envelope dies you can simply trace around the back of your envelope flap and cut the DSP out with your paper snips.
The other panel on the right hand side of the card uses the reverse side of the berry DSP, cut to 4 x 9 cm and layered on top of a piece of 4.5 x 9.5 cm Whisper White card stock.
To make the belly band I trimmed a 1.5cm wide strip off the longest side of an A4 sheet of Pacific Point card stock. I wrapped it around the card and adhered it behind the “wishing you the berry best” sentiment.
The pretty little flowers on my belly band are punched out from another sheet of DSP in the Berry Delightful DSP pack using the Strawberry Builder punch from the co-ordinating Sweet Strawberry Bundle with a Blue Adhesive-Backed Gem in the centre of each flower.
The strawberry builder punch not only punches out the stamps in the co-ordinating Sweet Strawberry stamp set, it also punches out the blossoms, the leaves and the strawberries from one of the sheets in the Berry Delightful DSP – how cool is that!
I didn’t forget to decorate the front of my envelope – the berry stamps in the Berry Blessings stamp set match this DSP perfectly!

Welcome back to our Colour Creations Showcase as we continue our showcase of over 50 beautiful Stampin’ Up! colours in alpha order. This week we are showcasing Old Olive, a fabulous green that is so versatile I actually use it like a neutral because it really pairs extremely well with any colour you combine it with.
For my cards today I’ve used elements from a brand new all inclusive card kit called Hello Dear Friend. Earlier this week I shared some other cards I made using the Hello Dear Friend Card Kit and today I have three more to share with you.
These three cards were inspired by one of the smaller card designs from the Hello Dear Friend Card Kit.
I loved how the stripes looked behind the yellow rose on this card, so I decided to pair the leftover die cuts with the black and white striped paper from the True Love Designer Series Paper.
You get everything you need in this kit to create 12 cards with matching envelopes…but you can make plenty more with this kit using the leftover die cuts and the stamp set, acrylic block and ink spot that are all included in the kit.
Because I used the leftover rose and leaf die cuts from this card kit with the black and white True Love Designer Series paper (both from the new January to June Mini Catalogue) my colour combination is Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Basic Black and Whisper White.
On my first card I intended to make a wreath with the die cut elements but halfway through adhering the die cuts around the sentiment I decided to create a spray of flowers instead.
By creating a spray instead of a wreath I had plenty room to add a bow of the black and white twine from the Playful Pets trim combo pack.
It also meant I now had some extra die cuts left over that I could use to create a thank you card .
This time I ran the DSP through my subtle embossing folder – it’s hard to see in this photo but it adds such a lovely texture in real life.
You might have noticed the stamped panel behind the “thank you” sentiment on the card above? It’s actually an off cut I didn’t want to waste after stamping the front panel for my third card below.
I stamped this panel using just two of the stamps in the stamp set included in this card kit. Here’s a close up of the stamps you get in this set as the photo of them in the catalogue is very small.
Running this stamped layer through the subtle embossing folder made all the difference to this card. All I had to do was add a bow of the Playful Pets bakers twine and die cut the “Just a Little note” sentiment using one of the Tasteful Label Dies before attaching to my card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I love the bright colours in this kit. It’s a colour combination I would never think of using myself but it looks amazing.
Here are the cards I made up according to the instructions on the kit. You don’t need any extra supplies to make these cards and if you follow the instructions on the kit you will make 12 cards in total.
Did you know you can also use the stamp set and the extra die cuts to make many more cards with just a few extra products? The cards I’m sharing with you today are created with some Note Cards and Envelopes and some brand new designer series paper.
I wanted to make use of all the beautiful stamps in the stamp set that is included in the Hello Dear Friend card kit so I stamped the back of all my envelopes as well.
The little black stippling in the middle of my flowers was added using my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.
For this card I cut up one of the smaller card bases. I actually find these smaller cards so useful when giving a bunch of flowers, etc, but I also wanted to show you that they can also be used to make larger cards if you prefer.
The die cuts in this kit make these cards so quick and easy card to make – all I had to do was tie a bow of the lovely copper cording that is included in the kit.
My second card uses the largest floral die cut layered onto some new black and white striped designer series paper.
This paper is from the True Love Designer Series Paper. There are so many things you can do with this paper, whether you decide to use it as it is or colour it in!
I’ve decorated my envelope flap to match the main die cut and added a bow of the copper cord to pick up the foiling of the sentiment die cut.
For my final card I’ve fussy cut one of the pink flowers from the largest die cut piece, added some die cut leaves and a copper bow.
The Highland Heather panel was cut using one of the smaller cards in this kit, mounted onto a Basic black layer.
This time the envelope flap was stamped using Old Olive and Highland Heather at both full strength and stamped off.

Night of Navy is one of my all time favourite colours and because it is a neutral it works so well with so many different colours. This week my colour combination was inspired by the stunning Paper Blooms DSP, one of the free SALE-a-bration items you can earn with any purchase over $90.
I made three cards today using the designer series papers in this pack that consist of mainly Night of Navy, Seaside Spray, Soft Sea Foam, Whisper White…and just a touch of Old Olive. Isn’t this such a soothing and relaxing colour combination?
As well as the Paper Blooms DSP I’ve used another new SALE-a-bration product you can earn with any purchase of $90 or more – the “Heal Your Heart” stamp set.
What I like about this stamp set is the mix of fonts – I think it looks really visually appealing on a card.
Because there is a mix of large and small floral designs and more neutral graphic patterns I created three cards to show the different ways you can use this designer series paper to create both masculine and feminine cards.
The first card was super easy to make using 2cm strips of DSP evenly spaced on an angle on a base piece of Whisper White card stock. Adding strips on an angle immediately creates visual interest.
Once I’d added all the strips I used my paper trimmer to trim the rectangle to measure 14.5 x 9.5cm and adhered it onto a 15 x 10 cm card base.
I wanted to keep this card quite neutral and masculine so I didn’t add any ribbon or flowers. The “We’re in this Together” sentiment is punched out with the story label punch and layered on top of a Night of Navy stitched oval.
My “Sorry for Your Loss” card was inspired by a series of cards created by a German Stampin’ Up! demonstrator who fussy cut the flowers out of the Paper Blooms DSP and used them with the Wreath Builder Dies.
I’ve come up with a much simpler version today that doesn’t require as many layers or as much fussy cutting.
This close up shows you the detail of the Night of Navy flowers I fussy cut for my wreath – these were actually super quick and easy to cut out using my paper snips.
Probably my favourite stamp from the “Heal Your Heart” stamp set is the “Thank You” stamp with its large, elegant floral script. I decided make a super quick and easy thank you card with this sentiment, also adding a few left-over die cuts from my wreath card for extra dimension and interest.
The “Thank You” sentiment was die cut using the “Stitched So Sweetly” dies – I love how this sentiment and the pretty floral design of the DSP do all the work for you on this card.

Welcome to our last Colour Creations Showcase for 2020-2021! Thank you for joining us each week and thank you to my fellow AWH team members who have inspired us all with their amazing colour creations.
We’re taking a break over Christmas and New Year but we will be back on January 6 to continue our showcase of over 50 beautiful Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order.
Week 29 – Mossy Meadow
Mossy Meadow is one of Stampin’ Up!’s neutrals, a dark green that looks like pear pizzaz when it is stamped off. As I needed to make some more Christmas cards (yes I know it’s only a week until Christmas!!) I decided to use a lovely graphic stamp set called Tree Angle that is retiring soon. (NOTE this stamp set has already sold out so you could also use the three different sized pine trees from the In the Pines stamp set if you would like to make these cards but missed out on this stamp set).
The Tree Angle stamp set co-ordinates with the stitched triangle dies but you could easily trim these trees with your paper trimmer if you don’t own the dies.
Mossy Meadow is a neutral that works really well with most colours – my classic Christmas colour scheme today was inspired by colours in the Heartwarming Hugs DSP that I’ve used in one of my cards.
As well as Mossy Meadow, Pear Pizzazz, Real Red and Whisper White I added in Crumb Cake and some metallic highlights.
This card pairs Mossy Meadow with some hints of soft metallics in the brushed metallic card stock layer and the copper stars that sit on top of the trees.
Mossy Meadow also looks great with silver in this monochromatic card. The background DSP layer is from the Neutrals 6×6 stack – I like how the pattern reflects the wooden tree trunks stamp in this stamp set.
Did you notice the little silver star on top of the tree! I love this die – it is from The Most Wonderful Time Medley, also retiring soon. Instead of using the tree trunk stamp again in this card I cut little silver trunk to co-ordinate with the silver star.
There are so many lovely greetings in this stamp set I decided to create a large sentiment panel using all of them together. I love the way it came together with no layout plan – I just started stamping in different colours!
The different colours on the greeting pick up the colours on the striped DSP. You could also create this card using any of your Christmas greetings from different stamp sets – the key to achieving a clean look is stamping the sentiments in the same colours as the stripes on the DSP.
These cards were so quick and easy to make – just as well because I still have so much to do before Christmas Day! Here’s a pic of all three in front of my beautiful Christmas tree.

Welcome to the Monthly Art With Heart Creative Showcase. Tonight we’re sharing some ideas for summer cards.
Summer for me means frangipanis, my favourite flower. I have many frangipani trees in my garden in various shades of yellow and pink and most of them have been grown from cuttings. My frangipanis are just coming into flower now and every year the yellow ones always flower before the pink ones do.
I’m sure it will come as no surprise when I tell you that I’ve used the Timeless Tropical stamp set and its co-ordinating In the Tropics dies for my card today. I have to admit I bought this entire bundle just for the frangipani flower and die, but I love this entire stamp and die set!
The palm tree is coloured using the marker technique – I used soft suede for the tree trunk and old olive for the palm branches. Once I coloured the stamp with my markers I “huffed” on it before stamping. To add colour and depth I used Watercolour pencils to lightly add some more old olive to the branches and some early espresso to the trunk.
The frangipani flower was stamped in smoky slate (stamped off once) and then coloured in using my daffodil delight and pumpkin pie watercolour pencils.
The pool party layer is die cut with a stitched rectangle die and embossed with the wrapped in texture embossing folder – on sale now at 50% off as it is retiring at the end of December or when sold out.
This pool party embossed layer is then layered onto Sahara Sand (also die cut with a stitched rectangle die) and adhered to a whisper white notecard.
The sentiment is also from the Timeless Tropical stamp set, stamped in versamark ink and heat embossed with White Emboss powder.
Did you notice the embellishment in the centre of the flower? It’s a clear wonderful gem from the August – December 2020 Mini Catalogue and it adds a lovely sparkle to my frangipani flower.
