Sneak Peek of 2020-21 Annual Catalogue Products – Lovely You Bundle

Sneak Peek of 2020-21 Annual Catalogue Products – Lovely You Bundle

I’m so excited to give you a sneak peek today of some new products that will be available to purchase from 3rd June: the Lovely You Bundle (Lovely You stamp set and Lovely Labels Pick a Punch), the Flowers for Every Season 6×6 DSP and five brand new 2020-22 In Colours.

Let’s take a closer look at these in colours. I must admit my early favourite is Misty Moonlight – it’s a softer version of Night of Navy and it looks stunning with Seaside Spray

Each of my five cards feature one of the new in colours, co-ordinated matching DSP and topped with a layered sentiment punched out using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch, which is in a bundle with the Lovely Labels stamp set.

This amazing new punch that lets you punch out 6 different styles of punch in three different widths. I used it on the Mother’s Day card I shared with you here to create a double layered mount.

Because this punch gives you the option of 2 different scalloped ends each in 3 different widths and unlimited lengths you can create perfect layered sentiments for so many of our different punches.

For card one I punched out the sentiment in Misty Moonlight at 1 inch wide and layered it onto white card stock punched out with the Timeless label punch (made longer by threading the card stock in one end at a time).

The next colour is Bumblebee, with the white card stock punched out at 1 inch wide and the top layer in Bumblebee punched out with the different end of the punch at 3/4 of an inch. Because it punches only one end of the card stock at a time I could make it long enough to fit this sentiment.

Isn’t Just Jude just gorgeous! For this tiny sentiment I used the narrowest width strip of card stock (1/2 inch) in Just Jade layered on top of the 3/4 inch width in Whisper White.

Magenta Madness is very bright but it teams so well with Melon Mambo and Blushing Bride. Here I’ve used the 3/4 inch and the 1 inch widths in the two different designs for the “just because” sentiment.

Cinnamon Cider is last but definitely not least and like the Magenta Madness card I’ve used the 3/4 inch and the 1 inch widths to punch and layer my sentiment.

The beautiful DSP I’ve used on all my cards is called Flowers For Every Season and it features all the new in colours. There are 24 different patterns in this 6×6 pack of DSP!

Tomorrow I will be featuring another stamp set that is retiring from the 2019 Annual Catalogue and the 2020 January to June Mini Catalogue, but in the meantime you can view all the retiring products in my online shop.

Would you like me your very own Stampin’ Up! 2020-21 Annual Catalogue?

Farewell to 2019-20 Retiring Products – Little Elephant

Farewell to 2019-20 Retiring Products – Little Elephant

Tonight I’m farewelling an adorable little stamp set called Little Elephant and its co-ordinating Elephant Builder punch.

Check out the teeny tiny details, such as the punch for the elephant’s ears and eyes, and the little bird stamp!
I love striped DSP but there wasn’t any in the right colours to match the baby quilt I’d made as a gift so I used my Stampin’ Up! trimmer to cut 1cm strips of Basic Gray, Smokey Slate, Whisper White, Powder Pink and Pool Party card stock and layered them horizontally over three vertical strips of tear and tape.
Ta da…my very own custom striped DSP!
The little elephants were stamped and then punched out and layered on top of Powder Pink and Whisper White card stock that I had cut using the layering squares dies.
Did you spot the little Pool Party bird on top of the smallest elephant? And the layered elephant ear on the largest elephant? I just love these little details!
I used the same “Hello little one” sentiment stamp as the original card in the catty for the front of the card, but I’ve also added in the lovely “Welcome to the World” sentiment from the Baby Bear stamp set for the inside of the card.

And the final touch on the card is a little bow made from the Whisper White bakers twine.
Here is a photo of the card and the quilt together…I made this card two years ago now and can you believe the little baby I made it for is turning two next month! How time flies!

Tomorrow I will be giving you a sneak peek at some brand new products from the 2020-21 Annual Catalogue that will be released on June 3, but in the meantime you can view all the retiring products in my online shop.

Farewell to 2019-20 Retiring Products – Beautiful Bouquet

Farewell to 2019-20 Retiring Products – Beautiful Bouquet

Something old, something new…

I’ve missed a few days blogging about retiring products because I’ve been busy crafting with some brand new, yet to be released products that will be available to buy June 3 when the new annual catty goes live.

I’ll share some of these new products with you later this week but I’m going to give you a sneak peek on one of my cards today. Can you spot the new product I’ve used? I’ll let you know what it is at the end of the blog…

I’ve made two cards today farewelling the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and the Bouquet Bunch Dies – I’ve used this bundle so much. If you love flowers don’t miss getting this stamp set.

My first card I made for my mum for Mother’s Day today, using the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and the Bouquet Bunch Dies, as well as the Lots Of Happy Card Kit that is also retiring.

My second card is a thank you card that features all the different blues in the Stampin; Up! colour range: Night of Navy, Blueberry Bushel, Pacific Point, Seaside Spray and Balmy Blue.

I added at little something special to the top of my Mum’s Mother’s Day present – a couple of handmade magnolias using the Magnolia Memory Dies.

The something new I promised to share with you is an amazing new punch that lets you punch out 6 different styles of punch in infinite lengths. I’ve used it on my card here for my “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment to create a double layered mount.

Tomorrow I will be featuring another stamp set that is retiring from the 2019 Annual Catalogue and the 2020 January to June Mini Catalogue, but in the meantime you can view all the retiring products in my online shop.

Farewell to 2019-20 Retiring Products – Verdant Garden

Farewell to 2019-20 Retiring Products – Verdant Garden

We’re already up to day eight of my farewell to retiring products and today we’re saying goodbye to the Verdant Garden stamp set.

I’ve made a series of cards with this stamp set that feature four of the 2019-20 in colours: Seaside Spray, Terracotta Tile, Rococo Rose and Pretty Peacock.

First cab off the rank? Seaside Spray. I’ve used the two bottom stamps in this set – they are designed to be used together to create this lovely tile effect.

Next is Terracotta Tile and Crumb Cake. Each of these cards features the same stamped design and this lovely scalloped linen ribbon in each of the In Colours.

Rococo Rose is such a soft and gentle pink – this card might be my favourite!

Pretty Peacock is last but not least and it also looks fantastic with Crumb Cake.

Here’s a closer look at all four cards. I’ve just found out that these beautiful ribbons will be carrying over to the new 2020-21 annual catalogue, which is great, but sadly the Verdant Garden stamp set will be retiring very soon.

Tomorrow I will be featuring another stamp set that is retiring from the 2019 Annual Catalogue and the 2020 January to June Mini Catalogue, but in the meantime you can view all the retiring products in my online shop.

Farewell to 2019-20 Retiring Products – Abstract Impressions

Farewell to 2019-20 Retiring Products – Abstract Impressions

Day six of farewelling retiring products and I’m saying goodbye to the Abstract Impressions stamp set…a stamp set that makes anyone look like an artist!

These layered stamps give you an amazing depth of colour using just the one ink pad. For my card today I’ve only used Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green.

I’ve achieved that painted look by “stampin off” my inks for some of the stamps and stampin at full strength for the other layers of flower and grass.

This is a stamp set that works with any colour and it’s so quick and easy to make cards with! I love the sentiments that come with this stamp set – especially the one I’ve used on my card today “If flowers were hugs, I’d send you a thousand”!

Tomorrow I will be featuring another stamp set that is retiring from the 2019 Annual Catalogue and the 2020 January to June Mini Catalogue and thanking it for its service by showcasing a card (or two) that I’ve made with the stamp set.

You can view all of the retiring products in my online shop.

Farewell to 2019-20 Retiring Products – Dashing Deer

Farewell to 2019-20 Retiring Products – Dashing Deer

Day five of my farewell to retiring products and I’m farewelling another absolute favourite: the Dashing Deer stamp set and its co–coordinating Detailed Deer dies.

I used a Memories and More whisper white pre-made card as my base, added a layer of champagne foil and then another layer of whisper white embossed with the softly falling textured impression embossing folder.

The beautiful deer are stamped in gray granite onto whisper white using the Dashing Deer stamp set, then cut out with their matching Detailed Deer thinlits.

Don’t you love the pattern on the biggest deer?

The sentiment is from the same Dashing Deer stamp set, stamped in gray granite and the embellishments are die cut out of foil using the detailed deer thinlits. A tiny double bow of linen thread is the final touch.

Here’s another card I made using the Detailed Deer dies, some sparkly glimmer paper and strips of washi tape. You could also cut up strips of Designer Series paper to get the same effect.

Can you see how sparkly my deer is in this photo?

Tomorrow I will be featuring another stamp set that is retiring from the 2019 Annual Catalogue and the 2020 January to June Mini Catalogue and thanking it for its service by showcasing a card (or two) that I’ve made with the stamp set.

Farewell to 2019-20 Retiring Products – Tea Together

Farewell to 2019-20 Retiring Products – Tea Together

We’re up to day four of my “Marie Condo” farewell to retiring products and since it’s only a week until mother’s day I thought it would be the perfect time to farewell a stamp set with a mother’s day sentiment.

The Tea Together stamp set has matching tea time dies, which makes card making super fast and easy.

I’ve used this card to make both birthday cards and mother’s day cards – I love this mother’s day sentiment. I’ve made my teapot for this card using Gorgeous Grape card stock and some retired butterfly DSP but it looks lovely cut out of any patterned paper, especially floral designs.

Here is another card i made with this set …this time using a Christmas paper to make a birthday card.

I picked up on the Poppy Parade and the Mossy Meadow colours in the DSP and used my blender pens in these colours to colour in stamped flowers from the Tea Together stamp set. The teapot, cup and saucer were also stamped from this set and then all cut out using the matching dies.

The happy birthday sentiment is from the Itty bitty Birthdays stamp set die cut out with my stitched rectangle dies.

I also used the stitched rectangle dies on my Mother’s Day card.

I hope you’re enjoying my farewell to retiring products?

Every day I will be featuring a stamp set that is retiring from the 2019 Annual Catalogue and the 2020 January to June Mini Catalogue and thank it for its service by showcasing a card (or two) that I’ve made with the stamp set.

Farewell to 2019-20 Retiring Products – Accented Blooms

Farewell to 2019-20 Retiring Products – Accented Blooms

It’s day two of my “Marie Condo” farewell to the retiring products from the 2019 Annual Catalogue and the 2020 January to June Mini Catalogue. You can view all the retiring products in my online shop.

Every day I will be featuring a stamp set that is retiring and thank it for its service by showcasing a card (or two) that I’ve made with the stamp set.

And today’s stamp set is (drum roll)….. Accented Blooms.

This is such a fun set to play with because the two large sentiments can be punched out using the Tailored Tag punch. However, for my first card today I’ve taken a different approach, using the smallest circle in the Stitched Shapes Die set to die cut out sections from the largest stamp in this set.

After stamping the image in Memento Ink and die cutting the circles I used my blends to colour in the flowers. Here’s a close up of these beautiful flowers.

A simple Crumb Cake Card base is always my go to for any colour and here I’ve added a strip of the retiring Burlap Ribbon to layer my sentiment onto before the final touch – a simple linen thread bow. I die cut the sentiment using a stitched rectangle die to match the stitched circles.

I loved the look of Crumb Cake with this card so much I made a simple square monochromatic card using the large flower image again, but this time featuring the hello stamp, punched out with the tailored tag punch.

Did you notice the bling on this card? They are the brand new Gilded Gems from the Ornate Garden Suite. These are an early order item from the new catalogue and available now. I love these gems!

I hope you are enjoying a daily hit of crafting inspiration…I’m certainly enjoying taking the time to create every day.

Here is the list of products for the card I made today.

Farewell to 2019-20 Retiring Products – Fable Friends

Farewell to 2019-20 Retiring Products – Fable Friends

It’s time to say farewell to many of the products from the from the 2019 Annual Catalogue and the 2020 January to June Mini Catalogue before the arrival of the brand new 2020-21 Annual Catalogue.

There are some fantastic products that are being offered on a while-supplies-last basis, including price-reduced items that are up to 60% off!

You can view all the retiring products in my online shop.

Using the Marie Kondo method to farewell retiring items

Because I’ve been doing so much decluttering of my home lately using the Marie Kondo method (where you only keep what “sparks joy” and then thank items for their service before you let of them), I decided to do thank all my retiring stamp sets by blogging a card (or two) every day that features these beautiful stamp sets.

And the first cab off the rank? … the so very adorable Fable Friends.

Farewell to Fable Friends

This is such a classic stamp set and it reminds me of my Beatrix Potter books growing up as well as the Bunykins China both my brother and I (and my children) ate from when we were little.

I have two cards to share with you tonight using this stamp set. This is the card I made today, featuring the mother duck stamp set and the stamp set with the three little ducks that I’ve coloured in with my Stampin’ Up! blends.

This was such a relaxing card to make with the colouring in. You can see all the products I’ve used in the card below.

Getting more out of your punches

For my sentiment on this card I’ve modified both the punches I’ve used with the “post-it note trick”.

The Darling Baby sentiment stamp has been cut out with the punch from the Darling Label Punch Box, picture below. This is another retiring product and it’s reduced from $78.00 to $31.20!

To make this punch smaller I simply used a Post It note to pop the punched out sentiment back into the punch so I could punch it smaller. This image explains this technique.

The Balmy Blue layer uses the same technique with the Timeless Label punch (this punch is being carried over to the new catalogue).

I love how this technique gives me such a great layered effect for the sentiment on this card.

The second card I made with this set is one that I made last year featuring the bunny stamp, which I coloured in with my Smoky Slate and Petal Pink blender pens.

You can see more images of this card and read my instructions on how to make it here.

And here is the list of products for the card I made today.

Art With Heart Creative Showcase: Mother’s Day

Art With Heart Creative Showcase: Mother’s Day

Welcome to the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! Team Monthly Creative Showcase. The theme for this month’s showcase is Mother’s Day. Under the current conditions Mother’s Day this year is going to be completely different to any other Mother’s Day celebrations.

For most of us that means we won’t be able to see our mothers in person on Mother’s Day this year so sending a card will be super important…don’t forget to post it in time!

The Art With Heart Team are hoping to share a little Mother’s Day love and inspiration with you tonight. However the cards I’m sharing with you will not be going to my mum because she reads my blog and I want to surprise her on Mother’s Day! I also have two mother’s in law (my husband’s biological mum and his step mum) so I’m sure these cards will come in handy for both his mums.

Here’s a close up of the stunning new Ornate Borders Dies that I’ve used in all three cards tonight.

These dies are so intricately detailed I’ve decided to keep my cards very simple, using just two colours to highlight the patterns in these border dies. Basically, these dies do all the work for you…and I love that!

Here’s my first card for the night.

And here’s a closer look at the detail of the die and another new product…the gilded gems. I’ve used the gilded gems on all three cards tonight because they work perfectly with this very neutral combination on crumb cake and whisper white.

My Happy Mother’s Day sentiment is from the Dressed To Impress Photopolymer Stamp Set, stamped in Versamark ink before I heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

Card two uses another border die, along with a sentiment from the co-ordinating Ornate Thanks stamp set that is part of the bundle with the Ornate Border dies.

The “so Grateful” is one stamp and then “for all you do” is another stamp – so you can mix and match your sentiments with this set which is super cool.

The flowers I’ve used on these two cards are three little flower dies that come with the ornate borders…they are just perfect to add dimension to the card.

My third card features the last of the Ornate Border dies. This card is the simplest of the lot but I think I like it the best for the delicate simplicity of the die … it’s so classic and elegant!

Which card do you like best?

The next demonstrator to share her Mother’s Day project is the amazingly talented Kate Morgan.
