Week 10 – Cinnamon Cider
Cinnamon Cider is a 2020-22 In Color and one of the exciting new products available in this colour is a velveteen paper. You’ll find the velveteen paper pack is on page 153 of the 2020 Annual Catalogue and this soft flocked paper comes in Cinnamon Cider, Highland Heather and Soft Sea Foam.
I thought this soft velvety paper would be ideal for bringing the rabbit from the Nature’s Beauty stamp set to life, so my cards this week feature this darling little rabbit.
How adorable is does he look stamped with Memento Ink onto the Cinnamon Cider velveteen paper? I die cut the image using a circle die and mounted it onto a scalloped circle of Basic Black die cut using the larger scalloped circle die from the layering circle dies.
It’s really hard to show the soft texture of this velveteen paper and the effect of the subtle embossing on the Whisper White card stock but this close up gives you a clearer view. I just can’t stop stroking this tiny little Cinnamon Cider bunny. His fluffy white tail was coloured with the Chalk Marker.
For card two my bunny rabbit has moved to the woods. I’ve stamped him onto Whisper White card stock, coloured him in with my Cinnamon Cider blends and created a landscape using my Basic Black marker to extend the lines in the stamps.
The background Woodland embossing folder really pairs well with the Nature’s Beauty stamps.
Card three continues the woodland theme, this time with a background stamped using the tree trunk stamp from the Winter Wood stamp set. I stamped my tree trunk stamp in Cinnamon Cider ink onto Cinnamon Cider card stock before using my Chalk Marker to add White.
I love how the Wrapped in Texture embossing folder echos the snow I added to the trees. You get two embossing folders in this pack and you’ll find them on page 9 of the August-December 2020 Mini Catalogue.
The white dot on top of my linen thread bow is another new product from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalogue – the All the Trimmings Embellishments on page 25.
All three cards have the same sentiment “Thinking of You” which I created using the marker technique.
The sentiment in the Winter Woods set actually says “Thinking of You This Season” but by using my Cinnamon Cider marker to just colour in the “thinking of you” section of the stamp I was able to create a more versatile and year round sentiment for my cards.

Catherine, I just love these cards. The little velveteen rabbit is so sweet and I can just imagine not being able to stop feeling the lovely texture of it. I love how you have added snow to the tree trunks with the Chalk marker. A great showcase of different embossing folders and die sets, and three amazing cards! Love them all!
Beautiful cards Cathy, I was wondering how I was going to use that paper now you have given me some inspiration to work with. Thank you for sharing.
I love the way you have used the two different sets of stamps and the embossing folder to achieve your gorgeous woodland theme Catherine. I really like the Cinnamon Cider with the white too.
Your cards are so cute Cathy and I love the snow effect.
Lovely cards, Catherine and the bunny in the snow is my favourite.
Your cards are lovely. Are you by any chance in Central PA ? I know of a family there with the same last name. Don’t know them personally, but my niece does. Your work is impeccable. I have one question, how do you come up with a price when you decided to sell them?
Love your rabbits. My favourite is the one with the woodland embossing folder, but they are all lovely, and that colour was made for rabbits.
All the cards are lovely but the stepped up bunny in the snow has to be my favourite!
All your cards are cute as Catherine. That bunny……
My goodness, your cards are gorgeous! I can just imagine how soft that first bunny feels. I had the same idea of the chalk marker on the CC cardstock, but I don’t thinkI would have done anywhere near as good of a job as you have done.
Love all three cards, the Cinnamon cider was made for bunnies! I hadn’t even noticed the velveteen paper, how weird is that?
Oh my goodness, Cathy – these cards are divine! Cinnamon Cider is a beautiful colour to use with the rabbit, and woodland theme. The textures and details on your cards are just beautiful.
Love these Cathy! How clever to think of bunnies with this colour! Oh and I would definitely be stroking that velveteen bunny till there was no image left on the paper LOL
Beautiful cards Cathy, I didn’t realize you could stamp on the velvet sheets.
All fantastic cards, Cath, but my favourite is the second one with the embossed woods. The one with snow is rather fitting for us right now though 😉
Oh wow! Cathy your cards are gorgeous! I love the bunny in the snow!
