It’s November 1, which can only mean one thing… It’s the start of the 30 Day Christmas Card Making challenge!
Papercrafters around the world are inspired by challenge prompts created by Martin Stone (Martin’s Mayhem – Papercrafter) to make a card for all 30 days of the month of November. Will I manage to create a card every day? Fingers crossed, that is my intent, but life often has a habit of getting in the way.
Today’s challenge is “O Christmas Tree” and the brief is to create a festive tree card that captures the spirit of the season.
As an Aussie living down under, our Christmas Day is typically warm and sunny and I hope my rainbow Christmas tree card captures the vibrancy of an Australian Christmas.
These are the colours of the cardstock I’ve used to create my rainbow.
I’ve used an Online Exclusive, the Forever Forest Dies, to create my trees and the stars. The “Christmas” die is from the Peaceful Seasons dies and the white heat embossed sentiment is from the Peaceful Seasons stamp set.
If you look closely you’ll see I’ve replaced the dot above the ‘i’ in Christmas with one of the silver stars.
TIP: I’ve added an adhesive sheet to my foil before die cutting to make it easier to adhere.
You can more clearly see the lovely shine the silver foil gives to this card from this side on view.
I’ll hopefully be back tomorrow with another “30 Days of Christmas” Christmas card. I hope you can join me then.
It looks vibrant and colourful! Just like the warm/hot Christmas days we enjoy here
