Welcome to week thirty of our Art With Heart 2024-25 Colour Creations blog hop!
This week we’re featuring Highland Heather, a light purple from the Subtles family and I love the way this soft and feminine Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper combines Highland Heather with Crumb Cake, Shaded Spruce and many other colours.
I always need birthday cards so I’ve stamped the “Happy Birthday” sentiment (from the Translucent Florals Stamp Set) in Highland Heather onto a Basic White label die cut using a die from the Perennial Postage dies.
I’ve used the matching Painted Lavender Stamp Set and Painted Lavender dies to create this sweet bunch of lavender.
To add additional colours to my lavender stems I stamped onto Highland Heather before stamping off once onto a piece of scrap. Then I used a sponge dauber to add touches of Gorgeous Grape and Highland BEFORE I stamped on Basic White Cardstock.
The Shaded Spruce Marker from the Regals Stampin’ Write Marker Assortment added the green stems to the lavender before die cutting.
A double bow of linen thread and a few Highland Heather gems from the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems were the finishing touch!
Now it’s time to hop in over to our next participant, the lovely Kate Morgan. I can’t wait to see what Kate has made this week!
If at any time you find a broken link, you can find the complete list of all participants below.
Catherine Proctor – you are here!
The AWH Colour Creations team will be back next Wednesday 27th November, showcasing Lemon Lime Twist or you can join us on Monday night for some more Christmas inspiration.
I hope you can join us then!
Gorgeous card, Cathy, this is very you with the Crumb Cake and stunning double Linen Thread bow and I love it! I too adore this paper and thought more would have used it in tonights hop.
A gorgeous card Cathy. Like you I love your chosen DSP and it’s perfect for this Blog Hop. Your stamping and variegated colour of the lavender is beautiful and so good with the double linen bow and Purple Gems. All so delightful. xxx
Beautiful Cathy. This is my favourite DSP in this catalogue and you have certainly done it justice. Your delicate posy of lavender is beautifully finished off with your generous linen bow.
Just lovely, Cath. That DSP is swoon-worthy, isn’t it?! I love the way you coloured and stamped the flowers, and decorated the sentiment label. So pretty.
