Welcome to week 33 of our 2021-22 Colour Creations blog hop! Tonight we are showcasing Pacific Point from the Brights family.
Pacific Point is a vibrant bright blue that always reminds me of those iconic traditional Greek houses so I decided to create a little Greek scene using the Welcoming Windows bundle.
I’m trying to step out of my comfort zone when I craft so instead of layering this card neatly, I sewed the top layer to the middle layer of Crumb Cake card stock using the linen thread. I also roughed up the edges of the top stamped layer using my paper smips.
How adorable is this bicycle die! It is from the Tulip Fields Bundle, which includes the Tulip Fields Stamp Set and the Windmill Fields Dies.
The sentiment was also chopped up using my paper snips to give it a messier, less geometric look.
Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Andrea Sargent– I can’t wait to see what Andrea has made this week!

Oh this is such a fantastic card and the stitching is just perfect. I love how the stamping on the panel and the roughed up edges makes it looks like fabric and that bike is just perfect. It is a gorgeous card!
Catherine, at first glance I thought you had stamped onto fabric! The sewn stitches and roughed up edges look amazing and so unique. It certainly has that “Greece” look and feel to it.
Such a lovely rustic card Cathy and a great way to showcase a different use for paper snips. Yes that bicycle is just too cute
Oh, Cathy, I love this! You’ve created a beautiful, picturesque, scene. The rustic touches are just gorgeous. I’m a big fan of the stitching you added. 🙂
This reminds me of Mykonos so much! Love the technique you have used to create the white washed walls. The blue shutters, stitching and the cute bike are perfect!
Oh Cathy, your card is absolutely gorgeous. I love the Mediterranean feel. Moving out of ones comfort zone is not easy – but you have a lovely result. I love the angles, roughed up edges and folded corners. The stitches are a special touch. Xxx
What a fabulous card! The stitching detail is fantastic, and pairs perfectly with the roughed up edges. The whole card is wonderful!
Oh that’s a fantastic card and the stitching with the linen thread adds a wonderful rustic feel and texture, as does the roughed up edges. Oh how this makes me dream of a Greek getaway. Such an amazing scene, Cathy!
