30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge 2023 – Day 8 Christmas Letters

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge 2023 – Day 8 Christmas Letters

The challenge for Day 8 of the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge is called ‘Christmas Letters’.

I’ve used the gorgeous letter box from the Stamped with Love Stamp Set, stamped in versmark onto Real Red card stock and heat embossed with gold emboss powder.

The Joy of Noel Dies were used to die cut Garden Green and Old Olive cardstock to create the greenery behind the letterbox.

Before I adhered the letterbox and the foliage to the front of the card, I used a Blending Brush to add some Pool Party ink to the card base.

I thought a very modern sentiment in a typewriter font would work well with all the white space on this card, so I’ve used the ‘so you get a card’ sentiment from the ‘Just My Type’ stamp set.

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge 2023 – Day 5 Sketch Challenge

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge 2023 – Day 5 Sketch Challenge

The challenge for Day 5 of the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge is the following sketch.

I’ve used the Deckled Circles dies and the Handcrafted Elements Dies to create three Christmas ornaments.

The background of this card has been created using a blending brush and Pool Party ink. The embellishments are the gorgeous Adhesive-Backed Glitter Sequins.

Pretty Peacock card stock and ink, silver foil and Snowflake Magic 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Specialty Designer Series Paper all combine beautifully for a monochrome effect.

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge 2023 – Day 4 Night of Navy, Pool Party & Lemon Lolly

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge 2023 – Day 4 Night of Navy, Pool Party & Lemon Lolly

The challenge for Day 4 of the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge is the following colour combination: Night of Navy, Pool Party and Lemon Lolly.

Night of Navy is such a great neutral for making other colours pop, so I’ve used it for my card base and created a Christmas card that uses the Winter Owl dies and three different punches. Can you guess which three punches I’ve used for this card?

The Pool Party elements are punched using the Bough Punch, the Lemon Lolly and Basic White flowers are punched using the Petal Park Builder Punch, while the Gold Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper Embellishments were punched using the Monkey Builder Punch.

I adhered the owl and the gold embossed sentiment first and filled in the rest of the card with the punched shapes.

I would never have used this colour combination, but I love how a challenge can push you out of your comfort zone!

Don’t you just love this sentiment from the Winter Owls stamp set. It makes me feel so calm.

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge 2023 – Day 3 Rockin’ Around

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge 2023 – Day 3 Rockin’ Around

The challenge for Day 3 of the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge is ‘Rockin’ Around’.

The Rocking Horse Bundle is such an obvious choice for the theme, ‘Rockin’ Around’. I actually bought this bundle to use for new baby cards, however it is a Christmas bundle.

As this stamp set is photopolymer, it’s easy to curve the sentiment. First I die cut a circle of Basic White card stock and then placed my acrylic block over the area where I wanted to stamp. Then I adhered the stamp on top of the block, lining up the curve of the sentiment with the curve of the circle.

I inked up the sentiment with Early Espresso Ink and stamped it onto the deckled circle.

The rocking horse was stamped onto a sheet of the One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper, coloured with Read Red and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends and die cut, before I fussy cut the rocker off the bottom.

I replace the rocker using the ‘rocker base’ die from the Rocking Horse dies which was die cut from another sheet of One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper.

The Christmas tree fronds are made using the Joy of Noel dies and the Christmas Pinecone dies, die cut from Old Olive and Mossy Meadow card stock.

The tiny Christmas holly dies are from the Rocking horse dies, die cut in Real Red and Mossy Meadow.

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge 2023 – Day 2 Frosty Air

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge 2023 – Day 2 Frosty Air

The challenge for Day 2 of the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge is ‘Frosty Air’.

Can you get any more frosty than a family of polar bears relaxing on an ice shelf with snowflakes falling?

This simple, no stamping card uses the Stargazing Designer Series Paper for the frosty sky and a card from the Beary Christmas Memories & More Card Pack, fussy cut with paper snips.

The ‘Christmas is better together’ sentiment has been cut with the paper trimmer from the M&M card and mounted onto some Basic White cardstock scraps.

Adhesive snowflakes and rhinestone gems add an extra touch of frostiness to this winter scene.
