Welcome to week thirty-four of our Art With Heart 2024-25 Colour Creations blog hop, our final blog hop for 2024!
This week we’re featuring Melon Mambo, a lovely bright pink from the Brights family and I’m giving you a sneak peek of a FREE Sale-a-bration item coming very soon!.
As I was short of time I’ve reached for the FREE Rainbow Celebrations Kit that will be available on the 7th January. So how do you get this for free? With every $100 you spend during Sale-a-bration (7th January – 28th February) you can choose a FREE Sale-a-bration item from the brochure.
Here’s what you get in the FREE Rainbow Celebrations Kit. (OPPS! Not the Glossy Dots Assortment – I’ve added them to this photo because I used them in my card.)
I always like to modify my kits to get more bang for my buck! The kit makes 6 cards but I think I’ll make at least twice that using all the components.
I’ve adapted components from this kit to make my card, mounting just the front of the rainbow card base to a larger rectangle card base made from Summer Splash.
I don’t normally pair such bright colours together but this card makes me feel so happy with its bright retro vibes. Adding the Glossy Dots really ramps up the fun factor too!
I’ve used one of the sentiments on the inside of my card and you can also see the cute cloud detail on the inside of the matching envelopes too in this photo below.
Now it’s time to hop in over to our next participant, the lovely Kate Morgan I can’t wait to see what Kate has made this week!
If at any time you find a broken link, you can find the complete list of all participants below.
Welcome to week thirty-two of our Art With Heart 2023-24 Colour Creations blog hop!
This week we are showcasing Melon Mambo, a vibrant pink.
I gifted an ‘experience’ rather than a physical gift to my sister-in-law for her birthday so I printed out a voucher for the experience onto Basic White Cardstock.
I custom made a box to fit the voucher and used strips of cardstock to make a top for the box as I did not have a large enough piece of DSP that matched the colours in the voucher to top the box.
The top of the gift box was created using a square of Basic White Cardstock slightly smaller than the top of the box lid. I covered this square in an adhesive sheet and measured and marked the middle point of the square.
Angled strips of Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Gorgeous Grape, Tahitian Tide, Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight and More Dazzle Specialty Paper were arranged in a pattern to cover the adhesive sheet.
A die cut circle of Melon Mambo cardstock covers the joins in the middle.
A smaller die cut circle of More Dazzle Specialty Paper added a final touch of bling.
A very quick birthday card was created to match, using the Merry Bold & Bright Designer Series Paper.
I’m so looking forward to attending this Festival of Sydney event with my sister-in-law!
Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Andrea Sargent – I can’t wait to see what Andrea has made this week!

Welcome to week twenty eight of our Art With Heart 2022-23 Colour Creations blog hop!
This is a weekly blog hop where we showcase the stunning range of Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order over 12 months and this week we are featuring Melon Mambo from the brights family.
For a variety of reasons, I’m making a lot of cards this month. I need to find ways to speed up my card making, which is why I’ve reached for the Simply Fabulous stamp set this week.
The Simply Fabulous stamp set is quite simply fabulous for fast card making! I also love the fonts in the stamp set and the assortment of flowers and greenery.
I’ve added just one other colour to this card – Granny Apple Green – as it is another bright I knew it would work well with the hot pink of Melon Mambo.
These stamps are supposed to give a solid image, however both my Granny Apple Green and Melon Mambo stamp sets were a bit too juicy which is why my stamping has a slightly mottled effect.
Let’s just pretend it was intentional, not that I didn’t have time to remake my card!!
This card basically is simple stamping, apart from the Stitched Rectangle Die I’ve used to die cut the sentiment. As this is a rectangle, you don’t need a die to cut the sentiment out – you could easily make this card with just two ink pads, one stamp set and paper.
I used the rectangle die to trace the outline of where the sentiment goes with a pencil so I knew where to stamp on the card. Once again, you could simply trace around a rectangle of paper.
As I don’t have the Melon Mambo reinker, the splatters were created by picking up some of the ink from the stamp pad with a water painter and then gently tapping it across the stamped card.
The Sweet Sorbet Adhesive-Backed Seasonal Sequins work perfectly for a touch of bling!
I’m trying to remember to stamp the insides of my cards as I make them, rather than when I need to use them, so I’ve stamped a few flowers and leaves inside as well.
Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely Kate Morgan – I can’t wait to see what Kate has made this week!

Welcome to week twenty-five of our 2020-2021 Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase. I can’t believe we are halfway through our 2020-2021 colour creations showcase!
Each week various members of our Art With Heart Colour Creations team will be bringing you weekly colour inspiration as we showcase our range of over 50 beautiful Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order.
Week 25 – Melon Mambo
Melon Mambo is a colour I love to use for two step stamping and especially for stamping off because it is such a gorgeous pink when stamped off, without any of the orange tones of the other pinks in the Stampin’ Up! colour range.
To show you just how beautiful Melon Mambo looks when stamped off I’m using a brand new stamp set with matching dies from the upcoming January – June 2020 Mini Catalogue: the Art Gallery Bundle, which consists of the Art Gallery stamp set and co-ordinating Floral Gallery Dies.
My favourite green to use with Melon Mambo is Pear Pizzaz so here’s the colour combination I’ve used for my card today.
It looks like I’ve used two different pinks on this card but I’ve actually only used Melon Mambo at full strength and stamped off once. The largest flower is two-step stamping and then I’m stamped the smaller flower twice, once at full strength and once stamped off. There is a another stamp (that I’ve used on the inside of the card) for two step stamping on this flower image as well but I wanted to show the colour of Melon Mambo stamped off very clearly.
The two stems are stamped in Pear Pizzaz, one at full strength and the other one stamped off once.
One of the things I really love about this bundle is the font and the size of the sentiments, the number of different sentiments (there are nine in total) and the two rectangular dies designed to fit all these sentiments. I’ve used “Happy Birthday” and the longer rectangle for my card today.
Inside my card I used another sentiment and roughly inked up another stamp from this set in both Pear Pizazz and Melon Mambo, stamping it off once before stamping inside my card. The final touch is the addition of Melon Mambo at full strength for the second part of the floral stamp, using the stamp that also works for the second step of the smaller flower on the front of the card.
I can’t wait to see what the rest of the Art With Heart team have created with Melon Mambo today. Click on the links below to see what they’ve made.

Welcome to week 28 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop!
Our colour this week is one of the Bright Family Colours: Melon Mambo.
For my card this week I’ve paired Melon Mambo with Mossy Meadow and used a stunning new stamp set from the forthcoming Occasions catalogue: Incredible Like You.
I love all the tiny little stamps in this set, the font, the sentiments and the lovely big roses…just the perfect set to showcase Melon Mambo.
I stamped directly onto the wonderful Wood textures DSP and achieved depth and variety of colour by stamping off both the Mossy Meadow and the Melon Mambo.
