Welcome to our last week of our 2021-22 Colour Creations blog hop! Tonight we are showcasing Soft Suede from the Neutrals family.

Soft Suede is a great colour for earth, so I’ve created a garden scene double Z fold card using the gorgeous Home and Garden bundle, the Plentiful Plants bundle, the Horizons dies and the soon to be retired In Good Taste DSP.

This is what it the card looks like when it is folded up to fit inside an envelope.

This is what it looks like when opened up and laid out flat.

And this is what it looks like standing up for display. Double Z fold cards stand up very well if you like to display your cards.

I love creating “scene” cards using a double Z fold because it is such an incredible simple fancy fold to make, but it gives you a lot of “wow” factor. This is the cutting and scoring template I made for a previous double Z fold card – my front band for this card only measures 1 inch high.

This Father’s Day card is a real celebration of neutrals – Early Espresso for the card base, Soft Suede for the front Z fold and the wooden shelves, Basic Black for the hooks and Mossy Meadow for the grass, with a touch of Old Olive, which is actually a Regal but in my head I always think of it as an neutral! There is also Gray Granite in the stone patterned In Good Taste DSP.

I love the detail in these tiny tools – I’ve coloured them in with Soft Suede and Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends. My dad is such a wonderful gardener, I just know he will love these tools too. My challenge is keeping this card somewhere safe and remembering where that place is when Father’s Day eventually comes around in September!

How cute are these Pebbles Enamel Shapes! The grass is die cut using the Horizons dies and the grass die in the Home and Garden bundle. The pots and the plants inside the pots are both from the Plentiful Plants bundle, another fave of mine.

Next Wednesday we start all over again with our Colour Creations hop for 2022-23. We’re showcasing the 5 new Incolours first, starting with the stunning Orchid Oasis.
